Blue Bay doesnt disappoint. The entertainment staff is so much fun had lots of laughs with Jesus and Edwin the Dj. we have been here many times before and we will be back the ocean is amazing, the pools are clean and the food options are also great. We have no complaints we were there to celebrate our anniversary, my birthday and just relax!!! we had the opportunity to try the ala carte restaurants and we enjoyed the seafood and italian the best. thank you Blue Bay for the lovely experience Jacky and Rochelle

Property let us check in early which was much appreciated. We had requested 2 double beds in our booking and were given one queen bed upon checking, stating we hadn't made it clear with the hotel that we wanted 2, even though our booking stated 2 double beds. However, we were given 2 double beds the next day. Food was not the greatest quality, but the fruit was top notch. Also, alcoholic drinks were just okay. Beach chairs and beach were nice.

Food was horrible. Drinks were horrible. My fiancé and a couple of other people got sick from the food. Rooms were outdated and not clean. Parts of the resort were also not clean. The entertainment was great and we met a lot of great people. We will not be back.

The most important thing is that the WiFi connection was not working good had to get it redone every day and having to pay 3.00 a day for Internet, that was not working good cutting off in the rooms and not working around the property…. and the rooms was hot water was not working had to call to get out water.. and when it was raining water was dripping in my room and the key card stopped working 3 times and I didn’t have by my phone….. so not a very good place.. we are not recommended to anyone

Relatively nice quiet property. Staff is very nice and tries hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The buffet food selection is minimal, and often, things like bacon and ketchup are rare or missing from breakfast. The beach was kept clean, and they have a reasonable amount of beds and sun shades available. This resort did not have any pool or beach drink service which came as a surprise for an all inclusive. Overall our stay was enjoyed, and we felt very safe here.

Did not approve of $3 per day charge for a safe to store valuables, $3 per day charge if you want internet. Restaurants have charges on foods ,its an "all inclusive " not a "some inclusive " they even had charges on some drinks.

BlueBay is an older property so you can expect it to be more authentic. The staff was very kind and energetic. The restrooms need complete remodeling as the jets were very dirty and the sink area had an ant issue. Food options were good and I loved how much effort the staff put into decor each night. However, it would be nice to have all restaurants open on the weekend and have a more efficient way to reserve spots before the morning of. The beach area was nice but it was also difficult to get towels each day due to there not being a system in place to keep up with them. The drinks were good, but not strong at all. You must be VIP for premium liquor and have a guaranteed spot at the beach. Also, during our stay they were doing a promotion for a vacation package and attempted to convince us to purchase the package by down talking their very own hotel, BlueBay. They presented it as if it wasn’t a “time share” but it was definitely the same concept, which totally blind sighted us and took up an hour of our time that we simply wanted to enjoy ourselves. Overall, we made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves, but there are improvements to be made.

I used to go to Bluebay all the time 12 years ago. Nothing has been done to enhance or update the property. I was only staying for 3 days and had 3 rooms due to poor keeping of the rooms

Oh boy where do I start? Let me say first that this was the worst experience ever. Food was absolutely terrible, extremely limited choices and totally tasteless and unappetizing. Don’t think that a la carte restaurants are better so be prepared to be constantly frustrated with the food. Then the drinks! What’s included it’s only the Dominican alcohol, beer and wine. We tried numerous mixed drinks and we never really felt alcohol in any of them. The beer and wine, you get it in a little plastic glass, and is as strong as water. Same with coffee, light to the point where you wonder if it’s coffee or just colored water. The whole resort is a health hazard. We slip, trip and fall quite few times. The worst was when we were walking thru an area which was freshly painted (with red paint and no warning) so I slipped and fell. Thank God I was ok however I was red from tip to toe, my dress, my legs, my slippers, my hands and arms. Their reaction :”oh sorry, you can give us the dress to wash it”. The beach chairs and towels - constant struggle to find any. We eventually got towels next day and didn’t return them till last day because we were afraid we’re going to not get any anymore. The room - not really clean, everything very old, the fridge was not working and the doors were very difficult to open. We had to keep trying the key over and over again till eventually will open but then you enter the room, close the door behind you and minutes later bam! The door it’s open, by itself

Very poor building condition compare to the pictures and rating showing. We arrive just 1/2 hour before the checking and they told me that I need to pay $30 to give my room if not we need to wait in the lobby until 3pm sharp.You need to pay for WiFi and room safe. Just after you check in, the restaurant for lunch is close. So… you are screw up already just arriving. Pool chairs ruin and broke and pool tile need to update. Room very bad conditions. I left the next day and ask for refund of the days that are not be there but they said not..not..not…. Finally when I check out they have the courage to tell me “ hope to see you soon”. Sorry for Puerto Plata. Never again

Mal servicio, problemas con la habitacion, comida muy limitada, ni variedad de comida, restaurante solo disponible uno por dia, el que ellos quieren y en ocaciones no hay disponibles porque tienen un tema. Los temas tienen menu limitado, y en mi caso que no como de casi nada dominicano, la noche dominicana me tube que acostar sin cenar

I went to this resort looking forward to have a good time and relax. Once I got to my room and started looking around I found how dirty the room was. There was hair all over the bathroom sink and the floor. I also found a cockroach inside the room. Overall the food in the hotel is trash and when you walk around you can see how dirty the whole resort looks. If you don’t want to be disappointed don’t book this resort.

This place should not even on the Expedia this place is far to be a all inclusive and they have very limited food the service is very hucky. Tv problem, internet problem, Telephone problem what kind of fish they serving to people. I can t believe it The beach is dirty as hell the only good thing that they have is the AC in the room and the pool Look i waste not only my money but my time I wont come back to this place anymore

Our room had a broken AC. So, after unpacking all our stuff, we had to move to a different room, it smelled like mold. So, we were moved to a third room with broken AC, broken mini bar and not enough water. They keep telling us that the AC would cool off eventually, but it never did, so we were burning at night, because they had no other room to offer. After complaining so much, they did nothing to remediate the situation, but just promised to give us special treatment on a 2nd visit, but if they couldn’t make it right on the first time, who would trust them on a 2n time. We will definitely not go back or refer it to anyone. The food was mediocre and so was the service. Terrible experience and will not recommend!
