Two-Bedroom Apartment at Paradise Condos, Cofresi Beach


Enjoy all the benefits of this newer condominium complex. This complex is located about ten miles from Puerto Plata at Cofresi Beach. It was completed in the spring of 2008. It is 150 yards from the ocean with no other buildings between it and the water. From our privately owned unit you are a two minute walk from Ocean World Marina. Ocean World includes a marina and restaurant. It is also home to Sea World where you can swim with dolphins. . Trip Advisor has rated Ocean World the number one thing to do in Puerto Plata.

Our unit is located on the main floor and many agree it is in the best location in this gated complex. There is a king size bed in one room and two doubles in the second room. The second room has a full ensuite. There is also a full bathroom across from the first bedroom. Both bedrooms have air conditioners.

A washing machine and dryer is included in this unit.

The large main deck overlooks the pool which is just a few feet from our front door. The two bedroom decks provide gorgeous ocean views.

The unit has a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances should you wish to do your own cooking.
There is a small store with all the basic groceries, including beer, wine and spirits, located about a two minute walk from the condo.
If you would rather eat out there are several restaurants in the area. Chris and Maddy's is next to the complex. The Ocean World Bistro is just a two minute walk away. Here you can dine overlooking Ocean World Marina.
Le Pappilon, which is the number one rated restaurant in the Purto Plata region, is a short five minute drive or cab ride. Also nearby is Stefy and Natale. All these restaurants are very highly rated by Trip Advisor. Several other excellent restaurants are just a short cab ride away.

The condo is comfortable and clean. Grounds are kept immaculate. Would appreciate a little welcoming basket with water, coffee, tea, etc. for the first night you arrive.

Very comfortable, nice location, excellent communication
The condo was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Small misunderstanding at checkin (office manager hadn't been notified of our stay), but it was VERY quickly resolved by the property owner. Communication was excellent. Office staff and security guards were visible pretty much at all times. Beach was very close - about a 5 minute walk (with small kids). Loved having the pools available - especially the kids pool. Didn't go to any nearby restaurants, but needed to use an ATM a couple of times and was able to walk over to Ocean World to use the one there pretty quickly. The colmado in front of the condos wasn't great (it was like 60% alcohol), so if you plan to cook/eat in the condo, may want to stop at a grocery store on the way. Overall, the stay was wonderful - we all left very happy. Thanks for everything!

We enjoyed our week at this Cofresi Condo, with some drawbacks. The unit is clean, although starting to show some age (even though only 8 years old). Some problems with appliances and hot water, which is hostage to the local infrastructure. You have to be accepting of some external noise, since a local roadway has occasional vehicle traffic (rarely after dark). If you want to laze by a beach, look elsewhere. The beach is not particularly clean, and the "park" is rundown and garbage strewn. On the positive side, Roger and the local management are very quick with responses to concerns, and made every effort to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The balcony overlooking the pool is a great oasis, perfect for that sundown drink. There tends to be a group of longer term renters in other units, which makes for an enjoyable community around the pool. Great restaurants are available by walk, or short taxi ride (Tres Cocos and Le Papillon were the highlights for us). Would we recommend? Yes, but with eyes open. This is a developing country, and you have to be comfortable with all the good (and not so good) if you want to get the most out of your stay.

We stayed from February 17 to march 17 2023 . Property was clean and well kept . A pool right on the property and the sea a 2 minute walk . We had a problem with the stove and notified the owner and within 24 hours it was taking care of .A small convenience store at few minutes walk most basic tou would need , People at the condo were very helpfull . We have already rented for next year .
