Staff was great - they spoke little English an we little spanish. Room ok. Restaurant and food fantastic. Needs a lot of work to repair areas damaged by waves. Bushes need trimming / removal. Power cleaning entire public area necessary. Paint/whitewash also needed. Wonderful views from some areas. Could be much greater destination than current.

The property located on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Which provides a great view. However, the property is rundown, in disrepair, and downright dangerous. The furniture in the room was old, I found hair on my bed when I checked in, and the shower stall dripped water constantly.

Hotel has issues with maintenance and supine staff. However, the view is great, A/C is powerful, beds are pretty comfortable. I will definitely stay again. P.S. when the ask 100 pesos for the guest, just say no. They will take that answer.

Stay away, at check in walked into a third floor flooded room, next room had no TV service. Asked to be changed to an Ocean view as originally requested, and was told a big “maybe” After one day in town realizing it was all a mess, I had enough., flew and checked in Dec 22, flew back home in time to save my Vacation Dec 24. Checking out they would not even give me a receipt of checking at 8:00 am Dec24. Just a “don’t expect a refund” I’m 62 now and expect to retire and travel, I’m going to change so this will not happen again. AGAIN, I paid $2,500 and had to leave, my choice, be careful with yours.

This place must’ve been in its splendor 40 years ago. But the lack of maintenance is seen on the unsafe balconies and many off limits areas. The restrooms need a total renovation. They had pink toilets lol. Worst thing was that tjere were power outages all night. Positive thing was the food- it was good and plenty. The drinks were mediocre. The one in charge Oscar, was the most pleasent staff.

The rooms and quality were not maintained. I've been staying here for years and this is the worse I have seen. Moved rooms 3 times for various reasons. Disappointing.

The beds were very uncomfortable, tv was not working , breakfast was supposed to be buffet but the bought a short list of what i could choose from , staff was not friendly . It felt like i slept on a box with no mattress. Thank God i was only there for 1 night. I will not go back and would not recommend

Looks are deceiving
First il start with the staff, very friendly and good hospitality. But once i was there i requested an iron which they had to go fijd one and afrer 2 hours i came down and it was on the counter and not delivered to the room which they said. The hotel has great views of the ocean but the grounds and rooms are extremely dated and uninformed. Cabinet doors in my room were broken and the decor was from a thrift shop. The halls were dark with no light at night and looked like a horror ghost movie. The bathrooms water pressure was very low and you had to wait a while afrer flushing the toilet for the sink or shower pressure to be good enough to use.

It was a nice location, but definitely run down. You can tell the owner has passed this property down to his son and his son has not cared for it since … A shame for such a neat location.

They didn't have the room we booked available, we requested a superior room with an ocean view with 2 queen beds, and they only had rooms with 1 king bed, so we had to take a standard room that had 2 beds. The food is good, but the service is slow.

Vintage appearance gives character & charm Absolute breath taking view from outdoor restaurant & ocean side rooms 1st nite stayed in ocean side room Had grandmas house feel Sadly overflowing toilet leaked down into bathroom leaving unbearable odor Shower and bathroom were nice and big Moved 2 room on 2nd floor of inside area that had balcony & nice view over looking pool area w ocean view in far background This bathroom was not as big but had a bidet I preferred the longer walk 2 the 1st room than the stair climb of the 2nd View from 1st room couldnt be beat Free breakfast equal to other 3 hotels Ive stayed @ in Sosua Wood fired pizza was by far best pizza in all of DR Id actually buy in America I will try another hotel my next stay but will definitely b back 4 the pizza Although I felt safe minimal security and is located @ a dead end of a long dark quiet street  Everything 2 enjoy in Sosua is within walking distance but a little further than the other hotels  Felt safe walking dim lit street Wouldnt want my lady to walk alone  Witnessed bushes being trimmed & pool area beautiful but this hotel is a bit warn down as an abandoned pool table sits out in elements, a 2nd swimming pool looks to have been out of order for decade, the lights climbing large staircase didnt work @ night & years of wear & tear & neglect make it unsafe for children and drunks near ocean Giving 5* which is what I gave other 3 hotels  Would happily stay again Unique place best view & pizza Most quiet

I really enjoyed my stay here! Good location - off of the busy streets but close enough to walk anywhere (Banco popular, Playa Alicia cerca) Good air conditioning, hot water, a little bit outdated but still beautiful with a gorgeous view. Nice pool and I could sit at the restaurant all day and work from my computer. I only ate breakfast here which was included and was solid :) I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in Sosua

Aesthetically the hotel is amazing. It has excellent views awesome pool. The free breakfast was was awesome. Location was great. the things that messed it up was the room. This must've been the worst room on the property! first off. It had no refrigerator. OK no big deal. We were there for one night but on top of that shower was leaking all night and you can hear it. No chair no table nothing in the room just the bed and the television, I paid for two rooms. The other room that we had, did have all of the following things that I just listed. Went to the front desk to see if they would rectify the situation, and they were unwilling to do so. Had the room been up to par this would've been awesome gem.
