Pros: Pool and beach area fantastic swim up bar is always a plus very friendly stuff
Cons: Update AC units inside rooms
Hotel itself it's not the newest but very well-maintained stuff is super friendly cuisine is excellent.

Iberostar Playa Dorada

Pros: Friendly and very helpful staff.
Cons: Please keep combing the beach and do small upgrade of the furniture.
Location: Puerto-Plata has a few attraction sites: Christ the Redeemer, Cable Cars, Small Town warm vibe.
Iberostar was a great stay. The only observations were: 1) The beach was full of sea weed upon my arrival. However, crew did a good job cleaning the following day, but the first time I used the beach, it was sea weed galore. Compared to some other places where I have traveled in the past, they could have done better to maintain it. 2) The room furniture could use a little furniture upgrade, but otherwise comfortable.

Awesome first stay!!

This resort was awesome! The staff: super friendly and helpful. The room: clean and spacious. The pool: big and clean, played good music and drinks were good. Always found chairs to lay out on. The beach: nice, clean, relaxing. Food: great! Buffet was organized and the food was delicious. The snack bar was nice too. Only cons: people from other companies trying to sell you things. They are very persistent and will come up to you everyday. The entertainment could have been a little better. Went to one show and it was great. It was fun and hilarious. The host was funny. Went the next night for a different show and it was pretty boring. The songs and dancing was just okay. Aside from those 2 minor cons, this resort was amazing. I loved every minute of it and would definitely go back for another stay.

nice hotel with great food

Location: if you have a way to get there, sosua beach is the best. totally worth a trip. if i could put this hotel on that beach, that would be perfect
food was far better than other all inclusives i've been to. beach and pools were standard, but i wish they had an infinity pool. there were a lot of activities to do (including ones for kids) and the night time shows were well done if that's your thing. our room had a funky odor coming from the a/c unit and when i talked to the front staff, they sent someone right away. unfortunately the fix was to spray some air freshener of some sort but when i asked to change rooms they were accommodating. overall still a great stay

worst hotel stay ever.

Pros: Food was edible.
Cons: Management needs proper ethical and customer service training. They need their rooms to be updated.
Location: Beach needed service, water was dirty with seaweeds.
Staff and management only cares about taking your money. They lie to me and change their hotel policy when convient to them. They discriminate against the native people who visit the hotel. You you only get service if you look like a foreigner such as European. My bathroom toilet kept flooding even after they claim to repair it. Mosquito ps in the rooms and balcony. Animals roaming for your food.

Everything you would want in a complete dream vacation. Great beach, food, service. Extremely friendly staff who work around the clock to ensure your satisfaction and comfort, and let's not forget the Pool and the pool bar!!!

Drinks kept coming, servers were nice and the activities available good. The in hotel restaurants are good buffet is good but can get repetitive

Nice Hotel - pleasant stay.

Hotel is very clean, ideal for family with children. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool was awesome and very well maintained Beach is nice, has lots of sea weed in many parts. Shows are good but are more for adults (children should be dismissed and parents advise but they are not). Food is excellent, with large variety of to chose from. Restaurants were great. Rooms are very well kept and clean (only downside is that they do not have full view mirrors ). Many activities available for all. This was our 2nd stay at this location.

Overall, ok.

Staff at check-in was ok, not very friendly. Hotel was clean, close to the beach and had plenty of activities throughout the day. My room was comfortable but needs a face-lift. Restroom shower was old and needs renovation. Food was bad...sorry but food was almost always cold. I'm not exaggerating but the best part was the fruit options.
