The best time to visit Puerto Alegría is during the dry season, which runs from July to November. This period offers more predictable weather with less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the Amazon rainforest and its waterways. You'll be able to enjoy river excursions and jungle treks without the constant worry of heavy downpours, making for a more pleasant and uninterrupted experience. Many lodges also offer activities like piranha fishing or night walks, which are more enjoyable in drier conditions. For solo travellers keen on wildlife photography or in-depth nature exploration, the dry season provides optimal conditions. The clearer skies offer better light for photography, and the reduced humidity makes extended periods outdoors more comfortable.
