Pros: staff was very nice and helpful, close to various restaurants, pool was nice, rooms were clean, El Patio restaurant was delicious but pricey Cons: The property is dated, restaurants were very expensive, breakfast is very poor quality as was the happy hour... you get some variety of chips to snack on. Hotel is overall overpriced.

Nice people, fun staff, clean as it could be. The hotel is older, can use a renovation to remove old carpets, sofas, and get UBS type chargers in rooms. Overall it was a good place to stay and I would definately stay here again.

Main Lobby area didn’t get quiet until midnight which we could hear from inside our room. Especially for those sleeping on the pull out couch bed located in the room closest to the lobby. Was difficult getting to sleep knowing we had to wake up early to catch a flight in the morning. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.

It was our first time in Puerto Rico and our first time staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel and Casino. The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and a block and a half from the beach. Normally, we stay at hotels that are on the beach so it’s easy access to sun and sand, but we found this property to worth the very short walk. The hotel provides you with beach chairs and umbrellas at no extra charge, although the hotel’s spot on the beach requires a little more walking once you get to the beach. The area of Isla Verde is perfect for sunbathing, eating, and hanging out with the various hotel guests in the surrounding bars and lounges. The staff at the Embassy Suites were very warm and friendly and did their best to make us feel at home. We went the week after Easter Sunday and the hotel was not packed with people at all, the pool was never overcrowded and The on-site restaurant, La Cueva Del Mar, had absolutely delicious food, and many native dishes which were a wonderful introduction to the culinary spectacle that is Puerto Rican food. There’s a casino onsite for a little gambling fun, and live music Friday and Saturday nights in the casino. With breakfast included, we only had to take care of lunch/dinner. We highly recommend this hotel and would return ourselves.

My family stayed just one night at the hotel before we flew out of the San Juan airport. The hotel is super close to the airport, while also being walkable to the beach. Although the rooms could use some updates (particularly in the bathrooms), the suites provided great space for families and was perfect for what we needed.

The pool was really nice but we were disappointed there was a $40 charge to use it. The room was ok. In general it was old and outdated. There were nice linens on the beds but the mattress seemed like it may have been past its expiration date. There was new carpet but the cabinets were old and the bathroom was small and rundown. Positives were the location, the staff, and the indoor atrium with restaurants inside. The food was excellent at both restaurants and at the outside grill.

For the price paid, you could have a better breakfast with more variety. When we arrived, the bathroom sink was clogged, the toilet paper device was coming out of place, and the shower faucet was also coming out and you were left with it in your hand. Things that one does not expect in a hotel of this level. Otherwise everything was good, the pool is excellent, the location of the hotel is very comfortable and the dining options inside the hotel are very good.

The rooms are outdated, bathrooms had old dirty looking tubs and vanity was old and lots of wear and tear! Used the fold out couch which was uncomfortable and not steady. Some staff was polite but most were not pleasant or welcoming.

Immediately we were welcomed by the friendly staff. We stay for three days and every day was great! Very close to the Isla Verde beach where they offered us free towels and beach chairs. Enjoyed the spa on site! The restaurant offered a variety of options which we appreciated. Also, the suite we had was very clean. Overall, I highly recommend and I will be returning!

While we enjoyed our stay, we feel the room (carpet, bathtub, cabinets and furniture) are dated but worse, in bad shape. The property itself is nice (pool, breakfast area and evening reception) and so does the beach area guests can use, but as in any resort, inconsiderate guests hog all towels, chairs and umbrella. Given the $40/day resort fee is supposed to cover for those amenities, it fell short of expectations and should better be managed (time limit?). Breakfast and evening reception staff were incredible.
