- Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Any surrounding nearby hotel but the Dean
If you like no closets, small bathrooms, no shelves to put clothes, in room coffee maker or no trash can in your room the Dean Hotel is perfect. Generally I like boutique hotels and their quirks but the minimalist approach was too much with a noisy heating / AC system if it worked and a shower that one couldn’t turn in. The location is good and the bed is comfortable but given the price any of the surrounding hotels would be better. We remained at the Dean only because we wished to have remained near a wedding party. There is no safe in the rooms not that there is a shelf to put one on and a silly bag to put ice in if you want to have a cold drink in your room. The front desk is great at texting you but follow up is slow or none existent. I have never given a negative review but because of the wedding this was our second stay. The first basically to sleep which was interrupted by construction next door but we did make some comments on our first visit. 9 months later no change.
