Would not stay here again

Posted 27-Aug-2015
Pros: Location was great.
Cons: I would make sure that the air was working on hot days, give a discount if it isn't - because of our inconvenience.
Location: It was right down town summerside and was just across the street from a market and beach. Was very good for location.
The room air conditioning wasn't working, when entering the room saw a fan and kinds felt that something was up with the air. It was extremely hot weather and the fan really didn't help much. No parking, they had a wedding event one evening and we couldn't find any parking and had to park next door. Asked for a queen bed and through that was what we paid for but only got a double beds. The room was very crowded for four people. They only gave us two towels and didn't refresh them every day. Poor choice, I won't be staying there again.

Close to town

Our room was small and had no view. The decore was outdated. Considering what we paid for the room it was not worth it. However, the outside of the hotel was attractive and it was centrally located.

I won't come here again if I have other choice

Posted 17-Aug-2015
Pros: I don't like it at all.
Cons: No opinions.
Location: The location is perfect because it's right across a street to the town centre.
We traveled with my family with 3 children. First of all: I was asked to signed a paper and make sure I won't smoke in the room. But as soon as we walked into the room, it smelled like someone smoked here this morning so the manager upgraded us to another room. Secondly, the room we stayed in is bigger but with old style furnitures. The mattresses didn't fit the bad so it's not comfortable. The rom was very noisy at night because of a sqeeky sound all night and I didn't know what it was. The swimming pool and fitness room both were very small.

Nice Staff

Posted 14-Aug-2015
Pros: Great location, nice staff
Cons: The carpet in the room needed to be replaced.
Location: Lots to do near by and the theater across the street was fun.
The room was nice and clean but the carpet really needed to be replaced, stains made it appear dirty.

Nice hotel with ice view from entryway.

The highlight was the restaurant. I am usually skeptical of hotel restaurants but I Found dinner there exceptional. Pork tenderloin on a blueberry sauce that was very tender and flavorful. They could do something to spruce up the entry area, however. It looked a little beat up. And they should throw those luggage carts in the trash. It didn't want to move in any direction. Another guest had to help me get it on the elevator. Generally, it was a pleasant stay.

Room for improvement..

Posted 28-May-2015 on Hotels
Overall the hotel was pretty good. Some of the furniture needs refinishing. The room was too warm for sleeping. I like my sleeping area to be cool at night. The fan in the bathroom did not work, and some cobwebs hanging from the ceiling at the entrance to the room. A small microwave in the room would have been nice. The view was very nice and the lady "Karen" at the front desk was very nice.

Whilst the facilities were a bit outdated I really enjoyed my stay at the Loyalist. The beds were comfortable, spacious room, quiet and reasonable location. I stayed here for two nights and I would stay again. Only con - no breakfast

Great place

Hotel staff were more than accommodating and could clarify questions regarding the local area as well. Room was spacious and very clean. The restaurant meal was fabulous!! The downtown waterfront location is great for getting around, the beautiful view and walking on the boardwalk.
