"Wow! The beautiful Elk River…serene, close to the coast, but away from it all. It rained the first night we were there and listening to the rain instead of traffic and city noise was amazing! It is rustic, large, and big enough for a huge family gathering. There was only 4 of us, but a larger group would get a fabulous deal. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking for lots of people. The owner was welcoming from the beginning and very responsive. I shared pics with a friend and she said “I hope this is what heaven looks like!”"

"This is a cute cabin. However, the smell that hit us when we got into the rental was horrible. The floors were sticky and visibly had dirt and mud and food. Every surface was dusty the dishes weren’t clean and cobwebs everywhere. Outside in the area Set up for relaxing. The chairs were covered in bird experiment as well as the whole patio. After discovering the smell was coming from the shower we had to drive back into town by septic tank safe, cleaners, and cleaning implements to get rid of the smell and clean the rental. We were determined to have a great weekend. The spiral staircase is very cute. However it is not put together well and rattles anytime you go up or down it which you have to do all day. I contacted the owner to let her know that the place was very dirty and smelly, but that we cleaned it and basically was told. Thanks for the feedback. After paying almost as much as the rental in cleaning fees, I would not recommend going to this cabin unless you’d like to clean it first. We left it 100% cleaner than we found it. The only thing they would have to do is laundry. This was disappointing and I won’t spend that kind of money again I’ll just stay home and clean my own house for free."

"Our group of 5 really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO for 3 nights. Laura, the host was so helpful in making sure our plans worked out. Great communication, anytime I would message her! Plenty of space for us and our two Golden Retrievers. House was well stocked with everything one would need for an extended stay. Home was very clean. Location was perfect. View could be better with some tree trimming, but again, not a big deal. We would not hesitate to stay here again. It was really comfortable for us. 3 bathrooms meant no waiting lines. Could use extra seating in the livingroom for evening relaxation, but again not that big of a deal. We do not regret what-so-ever booking this home for our stay. Everyone in our party enjoyed it. We slept well and enjoyed our evenings after returning from our adventures around Port Orford. Barbecue on the deck was a plus too."
