Stayed for 3 days after coming from the 3 Valleys ski area. This stay was a fantastic experience - parking was easy and convenient, check in was smooth as the gentleman was pleasant and professional. He explained the logistics of the hotel and offered info about the surrounding area. The hotel had a bar lounge area on the first floor with a pool table, foosball table, fireplace and lounging area for free afternoon teatime … it also had a small workout area with sauna/showers, climbing wall and relaxation area. Our room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the creek and the Aiguille du Midi … Breakfast was great with a wide range of food choices along with a beautiful view from the dining area. The hotel offered a discount for Ski rental through a shop nearby and had a ski locker for use by guests. Restaurants and shopping were all around - we walked to the town center and roamed about easily. This will be our first choice if we return to Chamonix in the future - thank you L’Arve !! Booking through Expedia made it easy and all the charges were exactly as expected - bravo to both !

Overall good hotel, just a shame about the paper thin walls and ceiling as you can hear everything, it sounded like there was an elephant stomping around above our room every night until about midnight. But the hotel was clean and friendly I wouldn’t stay again because of the noise and having a young child with us

Staff was very nice. The hotel has a wonderful breakfast before skiing, watwr and coffee stations, pool table and nice sitting area. Ski bus is right outside of hotel. Near by ski rental too. All in walking diatance to shoppIng, food and train.

Hotel is on the river, with a lawn for relaxing. Pastries, coffee, tea provided daily. Bar at hotel with comfy chairs for lounging. Walk to pedestrian streets. Free bikes to use, and can ride from hotel up the chamonix valley on bike paths.

All that you need in Chamonix
It was amazing because it have all that you need in the travel. The bedroom always was clean and hot. The brrakfast had the necesary things AND variable menú.

We had reserved a one bedroom apartment unit, but we discovered the one bedroom apartments had the bedroom in a basement with no window or ventilation. Even worse, the toilet was upstairs, and the stairs were very narrow. We requested a room on one level. We were given a very small room with a tiny bathroom, which the staff told us was the only room available. Later we discovered there were much nicer rooms available. Even mentioning Rick Steves did not merit better treatment.

We did our best to provide you with a good service, and it seems that you fell betrayed...Of course we have bigger rooms but I think you did not travel to Chamonix to share rooms ?Anyhow, do not hesitate during a future stay, to inform your Hotels that you do not like stairs, that will definitely help the service to provide you with a better service, without having to guess what your desire are.Best regards,

Amazing hotel
This place is so charming. Super eco friendly, service is actually first class from front desk to restaurant. Not to mention the location is perfect and right at the edge of the river. 5 stars without 5 star price.

Being at this hotel is like camping. No frills, tiny room, no air conditioning, no window screens, ridiculously small bathrooms and shower you can’t turn around in without hitting the temp control. The cost for such an experience is exorbitant, well over 300E. Their only saving grace is the wonderful Claire, who works at reception and is brimming with good suggestions for where to dine, sightsee etc. also there is a nice patio beside a fast running glacial stream- that’s it in a nutshell.

Phenomenal time in Chamonix!
We had no idea what to expect when we arrived in Chamonix. Checking in was a breeze thanks to “C” and she gave us the lay of the land (what restaurants to eat at, what amenities were available, and where we would catch the Aiguille du Midi Télépherique the next morning. Breakfast was very good and plentiful and our room had amazing views of the Aiguilles and Mont-Blanc was off to our right. Stunning! While some aspects of the room were getting showing some wear, the place was spacious and perfectly comfortable for two adults and a 17 & 14 year old. No issues whatsoever. Would go back there without question! La Calèche was an excellent dinner recommendation. So good we went back the next day. Merci Beaucoup!!

I loved this hotel, it could be considered rustic but it is perfect for it's location.. it is older but very clean and well maintained and very convenient. Staff were lovely, friendly but not imposing.. breakfast was good but there are other possibly better options in town. Hotel is very convenient, you are right in town though make sure your GPS/Phone is charged as a large section of town is pedestrianized so it can be hard to figure out how to get to your hotel if driving!

Great place to stay if you're looking for something on the low price side. Convenient walking distance to most restaurants in Chamonix with free parking space available. Definitely recommend if you're a solo traveler.

Stayed in apartment for 1 night, was overall an enjoyable stay. The apt was well equipped, clean and comfortable, except the AC didn't seem to well very well, making it difficult to sleep. The balcony overlooked the parking lot and had a view of the mountains obstructed by the main building of the hotel. The staff were mostly nice and mostly helpful... The hotel is well-situated, within walking distance of, really, everything--grocery store, restaurants, museums, even the cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi. This is a beautiful area and a stay in this hotel should be a very nice experience.

The location was great and my room had a balcony so I could enjoy the mountain view and river Arve, but it’s a dated property and when I went to have a shower in the morning before departure, there was no hot water. Thankfully the weather was warm. The shower could do with updating as the shower head faced the loose glass partition, which meant the water couldn’t be contained and wet the entire floor. I had to use multiple towels to soak up the mess. Convenient for one night but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Nice stay
Room was a bit small but comfortable. Nice to be able to open the window and listen to the water flowing in the river. Extra points for a European hotel that has the light switch INSIDE the bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A reasonable amount of parking onsite. We didn’t do breakfast so can’t comment on quality. Area was nice and quiet with plenty of shopping and food available close by. Only negative was that water temperature in the shower fluctuated between way too hot and way too cold.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located to shops and dining. Parking was included and plentiful. Nice variety of food for breakfast. There is a lounge area for guests to enjoy and visit with other guests. The lounge area included a small library, pool table, fireplace....very nice option. The view of the mountains is spectacular. Our check-in/out was very easy and the staff was very pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

Great nights sleep
The hotel was lovely and the staff were really helpful. We had a mountain view room, but we had to stretch our necks a bit to see it from the balcony. There was no view from the room itself. The river flowed alongside the hotel which made for a very restful nights sleep. The room was a bit quirky, the loo was in a little room on the left of the room door as you walked in and the bathroom was in a separate room on the right. Everywhere was lovely and clean. The only downside was no non-alcoholic beer as we are non-drinkers and get fed up of coke!!!
