Prairie du churn stay
Nice big clean room. Accommodated 2 adults and 4 children very comfortably. Kids had a blast in the pool or should I say a “splash”.

This hotel is in need of major updating. The furniture is old and scratched, the desk chair was broken, the other chair was stained, the curtains did not fit windows, bathroom needs to be redone.

The manager was so helpful. I had run into a family emergency and had to leave immediately. She is working with Expedia on a refund. The hotel was clean and location is great if you want to walk to some restaurants.

Good condition
The overall condtion of the hotel seemed good. My room was spacious and well appointed. The room was clean, with a very comfortable bed. The front desk staff was very friendly.

The good: The "log cabin" walls were kind of cute, and the canopy bed was cute and comfortable. The bathroom seemed excellently clean, and the shower had plenty of water pressure. The tap water also tasted nice. The bad: The room was dark and smelled of old smoke. There was a gray stain on the sheets (dropped ash?), which were microfiber. Some like those - I think they feel plasticky. The whirlpool took up half the room and was surrounded with mirrors (gross, unless you look like a pinup, which alas I don't). There was no desk. The carpet was old and ugly. Generally kind of a depressing atmosphere. The breakfast was mostly yucky (cold eggs, weird-tasting potatoes), and the coffee was so weak it was undrinkable.

Good service from cable guy and front-desk lady on Friday. Comparably good continental breakfast (great potatoes -- not crispy like they are too often made). Wife did miss not having an elevator, though.

Our room was oddly designed. Separate bedroom within the family suite, with A/C unit that had no temp controls. Walls were painted blue with outlines of sharks, dolphins, and a mermaid. Towels and wash clothes were dingy dirty. Hotel had terrible dining room space as well. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was ok. This was NOT a $220 value hotel.

Was not terrible
This is an older hotel with "theme" rooms. It was clean but bring your own pillow - the ones provided are quite small and provide little support. The main issues our group had was key cards worked intermittently and the toilets ran. Breakfast was good.
