This is the ideal location to stay in Prague. It’s only a 6 minute walk from Charles bridge, yet ideally situated away from the tourist trap areas of Old Town. The staff at Three Stork (the sister hotel of the Waldstein) insisted on carrying the bags upstairs for us. They were available 24-7 for anything we needed. A delicious hot and cold breakfast is available from 7 to 10:30 am daily at the Waldstein in a quaint stony cellar. Unlimited coffee is available in the room from a Nespresso machine.

Great old hotel
The Waldstein is a wonderful property with a few caveats. They have done a masterful job of renovating a building that is hundreds of years old but there are limitations, the bathroom was very cramped but beautifully renovated. There is no elevator and the stairways are tricky, so anyone with mobility issues beware. The staff was outstanding and the included breakfast was amazing. It is located below Prague Castle in a very quiet area but close to transit and the Charles Bridge, Prague was incredibly busy while we were there so it was great to be staying some distance from the action but if you are looking to enjoy the night life probably the other side of the river may be your preference.

Wonderful neighborhood and cozy hotel
Location the best of all!! Its in a fantastic location just bellow the Prague Castle, near the bridges and everything, but very silent and secure neighborhood. Only twice we used the public transportation during the 5 days. The hotel is wonderfull, we had an upper room towards the street on the third floor (europe=4th). It does not have Elevator so watch out!! Those with leg problems, but for us it was no problem. Very nice and cozy breakfast. I will return!

Book this hotel before others find out.
Amazing small boutique hotel well located for easy access to old and new Prague. Breakfast was fantastic every morning in the cave. Room was perfect, updated and comfortable for our family of 3. Well kept, service was impeccable and air conditioning worked well for a hotel of this age. Two warnings. There is no lift so unless you are on the first floor take into account a narrow, steep staircase to carry luggage and up and down a few times a day, for us not a problem but for those with mobility issues could be. Bar, open lobby area is limited and is in the sister hotel The three storks right next to Waldstein. Not a big deal but we were two traveling families that like to play cards, visit at night and that was difficult here ( and I am sure lots of other hotels in Europe) Stay here without reservation. A gem, great value and a true treasure.

10/10 stay at this hotel! Staff and service, especially Petr, was great and very friendly. Family room was very spacious with a queen and two twin beds, perfect for our family of four. The room has AC. There is 24/7 reception present. Location was great right next to the Palace and famous Bridge. We paid for parking which was great, we left our car and walk everywhere. Great breakfast buffet with a little bit for everyone. Overall I would recommend this hotel!

Don’t go there. Profit over customer satisfactio.
I had a bad experience at hotel, Waldstein in Prague. When I woke up this morning, there was no water in my shower. I immediately called the reception and told them the problem. They sent someone to my room to check and sure enough there was no water. The guy told me that it would take about an hour to get someone to fix it. However, I was on my way to Dresden and I couldn’t wait, so I had to leave. And no time did anyone offer me a room to take a shower in. In fact, the manager told me yesterday that if she could’ve upgraded me she would have but the hotel was full. When I communicated with her this afternoon, she told me they would’ve move me to another room had they know what the problem was. But like I say the hotel was supposedly full. When I asked for a refund of my night stay, she told me she would give me €20 discount off of my next stay. I have no intention of staying with this hotel group ever again. She asked me how much I paid for the hotel and I told her $82 and she said yeah that included parking but no I paid an extra €20 to park and for the tax that they had to collect, I don’t feel I need to fight this hard to get my money back for a night. I’ve been a good customer of Hotels.com and I expect them to make it good. I will communicate further with Hotels.com when I return from now this is the best I can do.

But unfortunately, you did not give us an opportunity to fix the problem. Because you was in hurry. After that, I have try to offer you compensation but also you refused it because it was not enough for you. We stayed on a family room. Very nice 2 bathrooms 2 rooms. A lot of space. Breakfast good. All the staff very nice and helpful. Very close to the castle you can walk. The only thing was that Uber take so long to arrive 20 to 25 min every time we requested. Because it was winter I guess.

Excellent hotel and amazing staff
We travel with two young kids and had the room that has two rooms and a small sitting area which was fantastic because it helped kids not to wake each other up. The location is excellent, walking distance to everywhere. The hotel was in a historic building which was well maintained but the highlight of this hotel is the staff, Helena at the front desk, the server at breakfast and everyone was amazing! Super friendly and helpful which is very rare to find in Prague. We are planning to come back for longer and stay at this hotel again thanks to the wonderful staff.

A wonderful hotel, staff (especially Luciano!) were so friendly and helpful. Accommodations were lovely and the hotel is in a perfect location for walking to all the sites, yet is tucked away from all the noise and action. A wonderful choice for exploring beautiful Prague!

Our third time, this time in a new set-up. The old version was great, but this new one is simply amazing!! Very gentle changes and the old is combined with new elements in such harmony and grace that the hotel immediately became my ultimate favorite!

Very good.
We were upgraded to 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms with office space which was fantastic considering we could both work remotely and have conference calls. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were big enough with floor heating. 5 mins walk to castle and Charles bridge. Near tram 15 and 5 mins to metro.
