Quiet good value fairly central Prague hotel.

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: Pleasant well furnished rooms. Good food and helpful staff.
Location: The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the central squares, museums, galleries. The tram and Metro services are closer to the hotel.
The Green Garden is traditionally furnished very comfortable hotel within a 20 minute walk of the main tourist attractions in central Prague. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and included the usual offer of hot and cold foods and plenty of fresh fruit. The Green Garden had a very pleasant conservatory style restaurant which offered high quality lunch and evening menus at reasonable discounted prices for hotel guests.

Elegant hotel, away from centre

Posted 17-Apr-2017
Pros: The food. The comfy bed and the quiet.
Cons: A lounge area.
Location: Walking to Wenceslas square. Would strongly recommend the crypt of St Cyril's church where the brave assassins of Heydrich took their last stand.
Lovely hotel, especially if you want to escape the activity of the old town. It is about 10minutes walk from metro stations, and I, as someone with walking difficulties, often found that a little too far. The décor is nice, the food in the restaurant tasty and well presented. I would have liked somewhere comfortable to sit and read but there is no lounge area of that sort. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel close to public transit and walkable

Posted 03-Jan-2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Great room and breakfast
We stayed four nights and very much enjoyed the service and location. Breakfast is great. We both walked to the main city areas (15-30 minutes), or took a combination of trams and subway. It's a short walk to the trams, however, as they don't stop right outside. This is a good thing because they can be noisy.

Ideal base to explore Prague

Posted 13-Dec-2016
Very nice hotel clean, quiet unassuming and only 10 minute walk to Wenceslas square and other major attractions, staff were very helpful in pointing out where to go and what to do even outlining it on a map. The bed was very comfy and breakfast is ok but you need to get there early as they did not seem to replenish stuff much after 0930. The wifi is ok but speeds are variable acording to the time of day. Tv is limited to sky news and CNN news but there is so much to do locally you shouldn't need the TV. Cleaning is good and very unobtrusive you do not get disturbed.

Lovely old hotel, traditional, friendly.

Posted 09-Dec-2016
Pros: It had absolutely everything that we needed. The provision of an excellent breakfast before setting out on our adventures made the day
Cons: I honestly cannot think of anything that needed any improvement
Location: The metro was only 300 metres away, but we walked everywhere. It was an easy walk to the famous squares, the Charles Bridge and the castle.
We arrived in bitter weather, the hotel was warm, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We couldn't speak any Czech, but this was never a problem. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It was cleaned every day, bed made and towels replaced. The breakfast could not be faulted - what a choice! And we found it easy to walk from the hotel down to Wenseslas Square and on to the Old Town Square. So, good location, just away from the middle of Prague; the hotel had everything we could possibly have wanted (even a luggage room to leave the cases as we didn't fly home until the evening); and the staff were really great. We had a very nice few days away, and hope to be able to return in the summer.

Pros: Breakfast is good and variety in food is acceptable, location is convenient, Staff are very welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Nothing really, I didn't find any annoying matter in this hotel.
Location: Only 5 minutes walk to the metro station, a lot of restaurants and cafe's around.
