An inviting scent greets you as soon as you enter the lobby, along with friendly and helpful staff whose genuine welcome sets the tone for a delightful stay. Centrally located and close to parking!

Good location
The hotel is brilliantly located near the train station and main AirPort Express drop off. Checking in was smooth and staff friendly Room was spacious and clean although the air conditioning was rubbish. On our second night we had to put a towel along the bottom of the doorway as the smell of marijuana was so strong in the hallway and no idea where it was coming from. The spa steam room and sauna were lovely but the didn’t open until 10am which we felt was super later especially if you want to get out and see the city. The monkey bar was nicely decorated but that’s about all I could positively say.

Thank you for less positive notes too, we discussed all the topics with our departments. During winter time our AC system is not cooling, but only warming, spa room is open officially from 10am but we can start earlier upon request. If we notice a smell in the hall, we investigate the situation. We believe our Monkey is doing great job, our goal is to have our service on the highest level but of course there is always space for improvement. Great hotel
Beautiful, well designed hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was a good size, very clean with lovely warm colours. The food was also quite good, with reasonable prices. Loved the decor throughout. Would be better if they didn't book the bar out completely in the evenings and left some allocation for hotel guests.

AVOID!
Unfortunately, our stay at Falkensteiner was an absolute disaster. To name a few ... - Avoid the hotel breakfast. It's a glorified Premier Inn style buffet but costs £55 per couple per day - not worth it when there are so many better, cheaper alternatives close by - the water from the tap, toilet, and shower is brown!! When asked, they simply told us to flush the system out for 10 minutes. When it continued, the engineer sent did the same thing - flushed out the system. When it was a slightly lighter brown, he said the problem was fixed. Not ideal for brushing your teeth and showering. We were moved room to a downgrade as a solution. - The heating bill for the hotel must be astronomical - out room was never below 27 degrees and the air conditioning wouldn't work. Overall, just really disappointing as the staff were ok and the hotel is decorated in a gorgeous way. A real shame. For the cost, you're better to stay at somewhere like the Grand Mark which is rated higher and closer to the central attractions.

The hotel was fantastic. The hotel interior was amazing, the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my husband’s birthday while we were there and we returned from our day trip to find a tiramisu and birthday card from the hotel - very thoughtful. The room and surrounding areas were very clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, continental, hot dishes, made to order and much much more - just right to set you up for the day. The evening Monkey bar was great too, however my only complaint was if your room was directly above the bar (which ours was) the music had a tendency to drift through to our room but if you’re in the bar it wouldn’t matter! All in all we would most definitely return to the Falkensteiner.

This is next to the main train station si its easy to get to and only 10mins from the old town. Probably just as well its not on thr main drag as itll be too noisy. Everything is new and colourful. It did feel a little unsafe outsidd the station but when you approach it from other roads, its fine The room is a little small but you do have everythinh you need - fridge, coffee maker, slippers. The bathroom is mord spacious and thr shower is roomy and i like the rugged foot suface that made it less slippery. I tried the sauna which made my knee and body relax after a day of walking. Really helpful having the robe and slippers peovuded jn the room. There are some refreshments to help you hydrate. The initial receptionist was rather abruot but the others that ive met were much nicer and more helpful.

I got super small room. Then next day I asked front desk to check if possible to change my room for a bigger. They were very helpful and changed my room which was excellent! But for the small room I got first - totally not 5 star hotel….
