Hotel Villa Franca is a small boutique hotel in Positano. It is in a good location in that it is right next to the stairs which lead to the beach and center of town. However, on that note for those people who have trouble climbing stairs or walking it would not be ideal because it is not in the center of town. The views from the restaurant are divine, and the staff is very polite and accommodating. The hotel has a nice chic boutique type vibe but it is on the small side as I presume most hotels in Positano are. The rooms are quite small, but I think that other hotels would probably be similar. I recommend paying extra for a room with a view, because it's spectacular waking up to that every morning. We only had a partial view and I did regret not having a better view. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to visitors. It's clean, chic, and the restaurant/bar are very good. It is on the pricey side though and booking any day trips through the hotel can run your tab up, but we always felt safe and in good hands.
Best location in town but parking is a issue tho. You have to park in 1 o 2 parking garages at 30Euros a day. Unexpected cost. Apartment was clean and nice. Perfect location and quite at night. Wifi is an extra charge which should be included in the price tho. All in all the location is great!

"The Caravella on Positano's Beach" will suit not only couples but also those with small children. A great spot from which to …More
It is really a villa, not a hotel. Accordingly the service was more personal. The elephant in the room is the location with a really fantastic view over Positano. There is a very large patio/balcony to take the view in. The location (halfway down the hill) does mean there a quite a few steps - we were ok with that (a couple about 60 yo) but some people may have difficulty. A porter will help with luggage. Of course, many hotels in Positano would have lots of steps as well. We loved the place because of its location but the rooms are in need of some renovation. Our villa consisted of 4 rooms but the space available could have been better utilised and the sink/kitchen area was basically non functional. Overall, the rate we paid represented good value for the facilities and service we received.
"Great family run hotel. True Italian experience. "
Manuela and her two aunts make this hotel stay an absolute delight.
Although the hotel has more of a boho vibe than the generic luxury of other places, the genuine warmth of the staff is truly worth the visit. Nothing was too much trouble and their advice about the local sightseeing was a godsend.
They have recently renovated their bathrooms and the modern showers were very much appreciated. I just hope they don't change the cute old furniture on the rooms' private terraces!
I would definitely stay there again.
"beautiful ocean view, good location, great service"
Stayed at Villa Yiara for 3 nights during my honeymoon in July and could not have been happier! We received a free room upgrade which was wonderful! The room was beautiful, very clean and big, and amazing view of the ocean! We were served breakfast on our balcony every morning at whatever time we requested, which was excellent. The staff could not have been nicer! They were so friendly and helpful. They assisted us in arranging a shared car to Rome and got us a great deal. . Hotel in a good location, near shops and restaurants. The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk. I would recommend this B&B to anyone!
We enjoyed our stay at villa Palumbo. While it is some distance from central Positano, it is close to bus station at top of hill and very convenient. The hosts were great. There are a number of steps to negotiate if your room is on the lower level, but you should expect this in Positano.
A desirably picturesque tourist haunt, Moorish-style houses cling to Positano’s steep hillsides. It’s a pleasant walk down to the small grey beach and fishing harbour via narrow, flower-decked alleyways and steps, but the return journey takes some effort (luckily there’s a bus). A domed church is Positano’s main landmark. The town celebrates the Feast of the Assumption on 15th August by re-enacting a famous victory against the Saracens.
