Villa Franca is a beautifully situated 5 star boutique hotel atop of Positano. We visited Positano to relax & enjoy the beautiful seaside & where not disappointed. Andru & all the staff where friendly & made our stay one that we are keen to do again in the very near future.
Though our stay was short, we woke to a beautiful view of the sea. The staff were great and very helpful and even made a phone call for us to help us out with our next hotel. Wifi was good as was the breakfast. We walked to the marina to catch a ferry to Capri, but we used the porter service recommended by the hotel which was a good move. A backpack would be ok, but you wouldn't want to take heavy bags either from or to the dock up the hill to the hotel.
"Beautiful boutique luxury hotel and great location"
If you are looking for luxury at a reasonable cost this is the hotel for you. It also has a premium location in Positano for those looking to be close to restaruants, shops and the beach. Staff are great, rooms are large and balcony with views are fantastic. Breakfast was good, though breakfast room as a little small and dark, suggest the 5 euro breakfast on your own balcony option. Be careful with parking garage the hotel recommends next door, it costs 35 euro a night.
A gorgeous room with a beautiful view in the most stunning location. The staff were really helpful, kind and knowledgeable about local tours, transport and activities. This was a really great base to visit the amalfi Coast, naples, sorrento and pompeii.
amazing view just outdated room in general. needs remodeling, that's the only reason didn't give it 5 stars. oh and the million stairs need to go to before getting to the hotel and down to the beach is worse. otherwise you're paying for the great view

A desirably picturesque tourist haunt, Moorish-style houses cling to Positano’s steep hillsides. It’s a pleasant walk down to the small grey beach and fishing harbour via narrow, flower-decked alleyways and steps, but the return journey takes some effort (luckily there’s a bus). A domed church is Positano’s main landmark. The town celebrates the Feast of the Assumption on 15th August by re-enacting a famous victory against the Saracens.
