All the staff were very helpful and friendly. They went beyond good service. I had hurt my hip and they offered to bring my luggage to my car in the pelting rain. I left my glasses in the room and one of the managers posted them recorded delivery to me immediately. I mentioned that the carpets needed attention and was told new carpet was on the way. That was my only comment as the new owners are doing an amazing job. Food was lovely. Nothing was any trouble. We would return anytime we need to spoil ourselves. Great job.

This was my second visit to this hotel and after my first which I mentioned the state of the bathroom in particular I thought it may have improved but is was no better at all. My room was a delux and had no carpet on the floor just laminate The bed was on metal castors and I bumped it on my return from the bath room in the night only for the bed to shift around 3 feet across the floor and ended up on the floor myself, the crockery was covered in dust and there was only a plastic spoon to stir drinks with that when hot bent I was advised this was because the metal spoons are being stolen. I could go on but I feel it just gets me more depressed.

Good Value
It was easy to find and easy to park. Whilst the hotel isn't attractive from the outside once inside it is fine. The reception was very welcoming. We had a seaview room which I would recommend. The room was serviced daily, although they didn't top up the toiletries or toilet paper. We ate in the restaurant which was as expected. Breakfast was ok once you knew how things worked. Overall reasonable value for money. A great location for walks and exploring Portland Bill, Nice and quiet as no main roads.
