The staff were really welcoming and helpfull Hotel position is fantastic with well appointed grouds and pool and position overlooking a superb beach. Hotel room a little dated but compensated with a lovely balcony view Exceptionally clean everywhere would return and stay again

Well situated overlooking a beautiful beach, great pool and enough sunbeds for everyone. Professional team looking after every detail at this property. Unfortunately the Aircon in the rooms is not turned on until May. I was provided with a portable air conditioner when I requested a fan, so I didn't have an issue with the heat.

I loved that Algar Hotel was near the beach where some beautiful rock formations were located. Also extremely close to the boardwalk, restaurants and beach. What a lovely dining experience as well. Everyone was so very nice.

Very Nice and clean hotel right on the beach. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast options were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Rating as “ EXCELLENT “this hotel would be awarded from us in regards the location, wide spectacular beach and board walk. Such a relaxing place to be. We were less impressed with option of renting their bicycles… with quite a high fee for something that was advertised for free rental but also as a guest I would like to see that as a part of the service and facilities. We received that we were given VIP room by an email afterwards but we were not even aware of this privileged opportunity during our stay…. By the meaning of the standard.

When we arrived in our room, we found we had been upgraded to Seaview which was really nice! Room was really nice and spacious. Steps down to the lovely boardwalk along the beach! The breakfast was really nice, my son loved using the Pancake machine! The only downside to the hotel is, as its a 5* hotel, you would expect an indoor pool and not have to pay for the jacuzzi, sauna steam room. We enjoyed our stay!

The hotel staff where very helpful and polite. Overall atmosphere in the hotel was positive. The lounge was exceptional with the live piano in the evening. Wonderful facilities.

Fantastic hotel in a great location, free parking fantastic breakfast. Everything superb. Only downside for us has no bearing on the hotel, why are people continually using mobiles on speakers instead of earphones, even at breakfast people spoiled the ambiance.

This hotel is at Portimao's Rocha beach and has splendid ocean view and beautiful rock formation along the beach. Its breakfast buffet was excellent and there are so many dining options close by, so we ended up not using its restaurants for lunch and dinner. Overall, a very pleasant stay and great value for the money.

Would not visit here again.
Unable to stop in car outside the hotel to unload car of our luggage there are cars parked outside that area day and night it ewes a very unpleasant check in after a long trip. Very unhappy staff not friendly at all at breakfast. One free bottle of water for a week stay. Very small slow lift for such a large hotel. ☹️

We had a wonderful week at the Hotel Algarve Casino. The property is a bit dated but still has everything you could need. Location is excellent - on the beach and part of the main road which is full of restaurants and bars. Value for money was exceptional.

Second stay had absolutely love this hotel. Yes it has a 1970’s look from the outside, but that can’t be changed! The rooms are really large and comfortable, breakfast really good and I’m gluten free. The bar is fab and good value. Pool area sovclean. And free sun beds on the beach for hotel residents. Will book again!
