Lovely location on cliff top with easy access to very large beach which had great cheap places to eat and drink. The hotel had a very large swimming pool with warm sea water. The staff were friendly and helpful
We only managed a 5 night stay at this lovely hotel but, we loved it.
From the impressive frontage, reception area (& staff) to our apartment Room no; B-008.
We were well impressed. We opened the curtains the next morning to glorious sunshine.
Perfect start to the holiday! Spent all day in & around the beautiful pool - despite all the
many invitations to join in with all the activities offered.
Back to the apartment at 4pm where we were delighted to find the sun shining, right until
sundown. Beautiful. We didn't take advantage of the courtesy bus; instead we took a taxi
into town for the evening. There are plenty of bars/restaurants to suit most tastes.
The hotel snack bar had plenty choices at reasonable prices. Buffet breakfast was good.
Despite arriving to a room with NO balcony, and moving rooms on the second day, our stay was great. Many of the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was perfect and the facilities very good. The breakfast sitting on the terrace, with a live pianist daily was wonderful and we enjoyed most days on the spacious beach. Perfect for a relaxing week, witha short taxi ride to Alvor and local spots.
The apartment was lovely. Nice furniture, well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. It was clean and tidy and the cleaners came each day. The rest of the aparthotel had great facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, pool table, small gym, sauna and restaurant with good priced food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and informative and spent time going through a local map with us, explaining where the best restaurants were. The location is perfect if you want to be near to the town but not in the thick of it.
A port town, Portimao is known for its fish restaurants and shopping. The former cluster around the dock though its once-famous old-style eateries have been replaced by modern outlets. Boat trips also depart from the quayside. Portimao is the regional shopping centre, noted for leather, shoes and clothes, and its weekly market attracts large crowds. Close by, Praia da Rocha is a busy resort which boasts one of the Algarve’s most spectacular beaches.
