I love the Hotel and stayed there for 7nights . But please do something about the entrance door and the lift . The lift is bad and the entrance door do not function properly. Beside that I love Novotel . Looking for a hotel with best security and quite place and nice place to enjoy . Just go over to Novotel, if you are coming from oversea and want a best place for security , please go to Novotel hotel . I was surprised with the area . . Please do something about the door . Staff’s at Novotel are top notch and the staff’s are extremely polite

I had a delightful time here!! One of the best hotels in PH I can bet. Very secure (3 levels of security checks for every car with a dog and an x ray machine for bags near the front door). In a hidden spot so there is privacy with a great view of the city. They have shuttles and a free breakfast buffet every morning with fresh fruit juice and on demand omelettes. They have a great pool and you can choose to sit outside during the day or in the evening near the pool. They have a nice bar area with plenty of drinks and a screen that shows sports. Their staff are all so helpful, professional and accommodating; from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. I was very impressed with the free wifi, air conditioning, and how quickly power was restored when it would be switched off. They also have an international card reading machine so you can use your American card with no issues!! They have tennis courts and two elevators, with a restaurant that takes orders a La carte throughout the day until the dinner buffet in the evening (you have to pay for this- usually around $11K Naira). They have American foods and tradition Nigerian foods. My room was really nice and the bathroom was so cool! It fit all my needs and blew my expectations. My only detractors are that the carpet needs to be replaced because it is worn and dirty (in the room and the hallway on the 3rd floor). I did also wish they had microwaves in the rooms or located somewhere else. I’m not sure how that would affect the

Quick overnight stay
Stayed one night on a weekend, not very busy, could do with a coat of paint on the outside but the inside (especially the room) is nicely renovated, clean, well maintained, mostly everything worked, service was very responsive and staff very helpful. A couple of minor gripes: the phone in the room wasn't working but this was fixed within an hour, the TV in the room was too small for a room that size, and the elevators make a slightly disconcerting squeaky noise which really should be sorted out. Overall there are more luxurious hotels in PH but this is a very good option for location I needed to be.

The only hotel I will stay in Port Harcourt
Best place in Port Harcourt without doubt. Cant recommend it enought - location is perfect, everything works and service is very good.

The hotel did not have any record of my confirmed (paid) reservation. I had to call Hotels.com to speak with them before they agreed to give me a room. Additionally, I was given a room on a floor that had work going on along the hallway, with ceilings removed. This was around 8 PM.

Bad experience. My reservation was for $118.00, USD. Behold I was asked to go exchange the dollar to local currency because they don’t take USD. Of course it was then going to cost me more. When questioned, they said it was the fault of hotels.com who advertised in USD. I was ready to leave the hotel until the manager got involved and agreed to accept my USD. It was very disappointing to say the least. Room was decent but over priced. Not the best experience.

First they had nohep availabe my Fife and Her Sister had to bring in the lugage them selfes they had 4 larege bags they than had to drag them upstairs the elevator was down.When I paid for the room it included breakfast each time they wanted to charge them .We have stayed there many times over the years and never had a problem before we will never stay there again .

My experience
We just stayed at the Novohotel for about 8 nights. The hotel common areas are very clean and the ambience is good. The staff at the Front Desk, Restaurant and Bar are very friendly and courteous. The rooms size is okay but the hotel has no provision for families travelling with children. I had two boys and the best they could do was give us a room with a double bed. They had no cots or extra beds (even at a fee) for the boys and we had to improvise on the sleeping arrangements. The hotel recommended paying for an extra room but there were not rooms with connecting doors and getting another room for a 7 and 2 year old was not practical. The room carpet was filthy! We could not walk barefoot on the carpet, the feet became very dirty in a few minutes. The bed sheets were clean but torn. No extra blankets were provided for the extra people in the room. The complimentary bar had 1 beer,1 small gin bottle, 2 tonic sodas, 1 juice and a chocolate bar. That was all. I requested for the bar to be fully stocked and be charged for it but they said it was not possible. The security was excellent! I love the idea of using a card to operate the elevator. However, the car rental service at the hotel is making a bad name for the hotel. I think the Avis car rental should be accountable to the hotel to curb the negative image it gives to the hotel. Overall, a good hotel and I would definitely stay here again.
