"We were up the 4th of July weekend they have a big parade and fireworks Saturday. The staff was outstanding very helpful and kind! Great place to stay we are differently coming back next year. We are also looking to come up in August too. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. Outdoor heated pool was perfect ☺️. Stephanie is do a great job managering the place! Can't wait to get back up there!! Town was just a short distance to walk to the restaurants ,stores and farmers market on Saturday. The only time we drove was when we took our kayaks to launch them for a trip to turnip Rock. That was amazing trip well worth it."

"All communications from the staff were timely and easy to understand, considering there is nobody physically on-site, it took a second to understand. The rooms were clean and neatly kept, with every amenity one could ask for. The best part was the proximity to downtown Port Austin, less than a 5 min drive and you’re where you want to be. I would highly recommend staying at the Sun and Sand, I know we will when we venture back!"

"My family had a great stay. The cottage had all the amenities we could need. We loved sitting on the deck and at the bonfire. The location was great near the lake and walkable to town restaurants and shops. We definitely would stay again."

"Great location for our extended family vacation. Short drive to beaches and Port Austin. The property was awesome for energetic grandchildren. We did not use the basement game room, but the rest of the “house” was more than adequate. Our host was amiable and helpful. We would definitely consider renting this property again."

"The house was quite lovely. The location was perfect. There were several beaches and parks within 10 miles. The purpose of our trip was for a little 'beach-time.' Hence, the property met our needs perfectly. The house was stocked well. They have a drip-coffee maker with ground coffee in the freezer; we brought our own, though. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of shampoo, lotion, sunscreen, kitchen foil/plastic wrap, cleaners, toilet paper, and paper towels. The portable A/C unit kept the temperature comfortable inside. We had to empty the water collected from the unit a few times, but no big deal. The wicker furniture on the deck was comfortable for sitting and unwinding with an icy cocktail after being in the sun. Truly, we enjoyed our entire stay and would gladly come back to this location. The only minor concern was that the washer and dryer were a little loud (located by the back bedroom) and struggled to wash a load of 4 beach towels. It left me worried to do any more laundry. Usually, I am happy to wash bedsheets and hand towels prior to check-out to help out the cleaning crew, but we were unable to do so. Perhaps updating the machines would be a nice investment. Again, we would rent this property again. Thank you for sharing your property with us. We appreciate your kindness."
