Great Stay at a Beautiful Location
Our stay at this cabin was the perfect start to our spring break vacation! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the cabin's location provided a great staging ground for excursions to Forks, Rialto Beach, and the Hoh Rain Forest. The cabin itself was cozy and outfitted with everything we needed. The hosts provided clear directions on how to get to the cabin and both check in and check out was very smooth. Overall it was a great experience!

Third year in a row, and we'll be back
We love this cozy cabin and have come three January's in a row for my husband's birthday. We saw 4 river otters and a herd of 25+ elk, and our buddy caught a steelhead. We love coming here every year to unplug, rest, and enjoy the property. The kitchen is always stocked with supplies and basic condiments to help us make delicious meals while we're there. The owners are so extremely kind and enjoyable to speak with. We hope to return many years onward.

Little slice of heaven
Todd has a beautiful slice of property. If you get a chance to come do you will not regret it. The river was low on our stay so we did not get a chance to fish but that did not matter. The river, the woods and the wild life was incredible. I enjoyed the 2 weeks of heaven. I hope to be back.

Amazing view!
Great stay here - would definitely stay again. The cabin is as advertised - it is a fishing cabin - so no frills, but honestly - one of the favorite places we have stayed! Todd was so responsive and made the check-in process seamless! He kindly answered our questions about best ferry/travel route. Kitchen was well appointed - however no dishwasher if that is important to you. He did mention they are having a drought so he was concerned about water pressure - but it was fine for us. The mattress in the main bedroom is soft - not our favorite as we prefer a firm mattress, but it was totally fine for 3 nights. Kids ADORED the yard and river - bunkbeds were great. As a heads up - the bathroom doors open right into both bedrooms so might be a bit awkward with different families staying. Internet was as described, pretty spotty - but again - was nice to be less connected for a few days. We explored the national park - house was an ideal location to explore both sides of the park. We would highly recommend staying at this cabin if you are in the area - it was wonderful!

Amazing river retreat

Cozy Sol Duc Cabin
The river was beautiful and clear, easy to watch from inside or out on the deck and yard area. There is a large tree swing that was a favorite for my kids. They were able to wade in the river and looks for fish and birds. Inside was cozy and great for family time. It was private and quiet.

Beautiful place

Rejuvenating
The pictures don’t do the nature justice. It was an absolutely perfect get away being so secluded. Todd was very communicative and was very clear on directions and instructions for the cabin. Everyone had nothing but great things to say in their guest books. We hope to stay again!!

Wonderful setting
This very private cabin on the Sol Duc River is lovely and relaxing. The river is just beautiful and there are NO neighbors. Cabin is definitely on the rustic side, but hey, it's a cabin! Little kids would absolutely LOVE this place, and don't miss the fabulous swing.

Perfect secluded location right on the river. It was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed reading the guest book and everyone’s hunting and fishing experiences while staying in the cabin. Not too far from Hoh rainforest and some coastal beaches.

Secluded riverfront cabin
This property was truly a little slice of heaven. Our family loved having this as our home-base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park. Relaxing evenings spent fishing in the river and sitting around a fire were an added bonus. Great communication from Todd to ensure an easy visit.

Lovely cabin by the river
Our family stayed in Todd and Danielle's cabin during our visit to Olympic NP. It had everything we needed and was easy to get to the various areas of the park. Our boys loved exploring the river behind the cabin. Todd was very helpful and communicative during our stay!

A little slice of heaven
What an excellent location. Off Highway 101 far enough you couldn't hear any vehicle noise. The property surrounded by the river on 3 sides. The weather was great for us, so we were able to hike in the daytime and sit by the camp fire at night. It was exactly what we needed. Thanks so much for sharing this gem with us.

Loved my stay.
I loved my stay at this very private and scenic cabin! Would love to go back in the summer for the river fun. One bath room sharing so preferred with family only or very close friends. Amazingly had a lot of things then I expected. Kitchen equipment, towels, woods, coffee, etc.

Best steelhead trip
We pulled the trigger on a last minute trip to the OP for winter steelhead and were lucky enough to score this little slice of heaven. Excellent cabin right on good fish water. My only regret is that we fished so hard that we didn't have time to enjoy a cocktail campfire by the river at the end of a day of hard fishing. We'll do that next time for sure.

Home Away from Home!
It was our second year in a row staying here in mid-January and we had even more fun this time than we did last time! It's cozy, well-stocked, and at a really beautiful location that's private and secluded away from busy streets and neighbors, so it was great for our dogs. All of us felt so calm, relaxed, and restored staying out here. This place definitely has some magic to it. We will definitely be back again!

If you enjoy complete solitude with nature, this is the place for you! It is a beautiful property on the Sol Duc River about 13 miles from Forks with a giant firepit and ample outdoor seating for relaxing mornings and evenings… what a special place!

Great location
As stated earlier, it is not a 5 star resort but it is a 10 star location. The owners were excellent to work with. The river was awesome. We did catch some what I believe were Coastal Cutthroats. There is some owner stuff in the cabin but that was not an issue for use. The refrigerator was clean as were the beds and stove. We did use the washer and dryer so I know they work. There was a slight issue with one of the locks on a door and the owner said they would take care of it. It is well off the road and very peaceful. We stayed three nights and enjoyed our stay. It was myself, my wife, and three adult daughters. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

best location for everything in Olympic National Park
If you want to see everything in Olympic National Park, there is not a better location. It's definitely not glamorous but great for the true outdoorsmen and women.

Was exactly as described: a no frills fishing camp on the Solduc River. Great jumping off spot for adventures in the ONP. Waking to a herd of Roosevelt Elk in the front yard was beyond expectation. Too bad for the light rain - we were unable to use deck. Dining table could use a nice campy light hanging over it to minimize need for overhead lights. Couch could use some updating. Otherwise comfy, snug and authentic. thanks

I believe you can't please everyone. However the review left by Cathy L. is spot on. This property is sub standard at best. Bathroom was filthy- personal items on sink and in tub. Filthy can't describe the toilet. The stove was unusable with food crusted on the outside and inside. The fridge was full of half eaten and unwrapped food. The washer and dryer barely worked. The furniture was dirty and old, not leaving a very good feeling about the condition of the mattress. The cabin overall was dirty and unkept. Ants, food on floors, clumps of dog hair, personal items tossed in corners. Not up to VRBO standards.

Heaven on earth... seriously

Home Away from Home!
Wow. What a warm and welcoming experience! It's a rustic hunting cabin on a BEAUTIFUL slice of property and Todd and Danielle were extremely warm, helpful, attentive, and inviting. We had everything we needed to have a relaxing experience with loved ones laughing, playing, fishing, eating good food, and making memories. If they'll have us, we will definitely be back again and can see this becoming an annual vacation destination!

Secluded Escape
If you are looking to get away and rekindle your spirit, this property is hard to beat. Just you and the river with an occasional drift boat or raft quietly sliding by. Todd and Danielle make sure you are comfortable while sharing a property that quite frankly is typically not shared. We loved our short stay and are looking forward to booking again.

Perfect Location!
The Cabin was in the perfect location for our trip, cabin had everything you could want, it is in great shape and has a wonderful history. There was nothing more we could have asked for, the owner is fantastic. The 1/4 mile drive in really helped to disconnect, which we all needed and made the time at the cabin that much more relaxing.

Tranquil getaway
Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. We stayed in August and it was so beautiful and tranquil. We all enjoyed the stream right out back and the cabin itself was comfortable and cozy! Communication with the owners was great as they checked on us and communicated back very quickly any time we had a question. We would definitely recommend this property.

Peace and quiet
This was the ideal place to spend several days, both for peace and quiet and as a great base for exploring the area. The directions were easy to follow, and I really liked having the gate and the drive back into the woods to settle in and relax. The location on the river bend is quite unique and special. I enjoyed watching Bald Eagles and Kingfishers flying up and down the river and catching fish. The outdoor space was wonderful, and honestly the pictures don't do it justice. I really enjoyed having my meals right by the river. It was so relaxing and exactly what I needed. I would go back again.

Beautiful secluded property right on the river and great hosts
First of all the property was stunning with the river wrapping all the way around. We spent most of our time in the river, fishing, swimming or just cooling off. We happened to be there when there was an intense heat wave, 113 degrees in Forks, over 90 degrees outside and inside the house(there was no AC and just one small fan but the weather was a complete anomaly). Luckily we had the river. Despite the heat we had a great time. The huge swings were a hit with the kids. We caught (and released) many cuttthroat, rainbow and brook trout. The fire pit was amazing (it did cool down to a normal temperature the last two days) and there was plenty of wood to use. The seclusion and the river really allow you to just relax, it was wonderful. The house had everything we needed and the host graciously told us to use anything that was there or in the fridge. The beds were comfortable enough. It is a cabin and not a luxury villa, and so it was comfortable and homey but not lavish. Honestly though you want to be outside anyway enjoying the property. The hosts were fantastic. They communicated through texts, which made it very easy to ask questions to which they quickly responded. They were very attentive making sure we got there alright (it is a little hard to find at first). The check out process was super easy (ignore the list of what to do before you leave that is on the wall in the laundry room). They seemed to really care whether we had a good experience or not and I really appreciated that. I will say the bathroom is sort of odd being in the middle of the house. You have to go through the bathroom from the backroom to get to the rest of the house. So if someone is in there and you are in the back room, you are kind of trapped, until they are done. But really that was never a big issue, there is a door from the back room to outside if you want to get out. That really was the only negative and not really an issue. Overall we had a great time at this property. We could have been miserable in the heat but instead we had a great time in the river. The hosts were great and made everything so easy. We definitely will be coming back in the future some time!

Todd’s place is amazing!
This property was the perfect secluded getaway for our fishing trip. The grounds are stunningly beautiful and the cabin is perfect to warm up and crash at the end of a day fishing. Awesome selection of video tapes too! Great wood stove to dry your gear at night. Todd could not have been more helpful during the checkin process and provided an astounding amount of local knowledge to help us on our first trip the area. What a magnificent experience! Will certainly try and get back soon. Thanks Todd!

Great weekend getaway!

The second we arrive on the property it felt like a place I had been. The setting is breathtaking, property is perfectly located close to town and activities outdoors. I have already looked into booking later this year. Todd was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this place!

Not VRBO quality
Location was beautiful but the house is not rental quality. It is a fishing shack you would lend to friends for a weekend. Filthy.Mice droppings on kitchen counter and floor. Couch was dirty ,fridge was nasty and freezer full of owners food no room for our stuff.Dog hair everywhere. Bathroom had toothpaste spittle on mirror ,owners toothbrushes on sink counter. Ring around toilet.Master bedroom had no where to put our clothes. We put them on floor. 2 pelt guns were left on bedside table. Washer did not work nor did the oven. Owner told us to use sleeping bags as sheets on bunk beds. I did find sheets. SAVE YOUR MONEY

everyone else seems to have enjoyed the place . sometimes there is no pleasing some folks. we even credited the renters to help accomodate .. thanks for the constructive criticism . we have since updated . maybe next time you should get a hotel in forks or port angeles at $150-200/night.

Camping without crowds
This is not a five star resort, but it is a ten star setting. Great base for exploring the ONP. The property is breathtakingly beautiful and extremely private. I’m sure it is an excellent fishing spot in season. There is lots of dry firewood, a working grill, and acres and acres of land to explore-perfection.

Great stay along a beautiful river
This cabin is the perfect getaway to nature. Its location is quiet, private, and along a peaceful river. Although a bit rustic, It has all the essential amenities. We visited Hurricane Ridge, Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc Falls, Forks, and Rialto Beach. Be advised that, although the cabin is in a central location, you have to do a lot of driving to get around Olympic National Park. However, after exploring during the day, it was great coming back to the cabin, grilling up dinner on the back patio, and relaxing to the soothing sound of the river.

A super stay...
was had by all 6 of us! I knew there would be beds for all - but the kids loved the bunk beds! The kitchen was well stocked with cook tools and some supplies. Second day a herd of elk passed through the yard and crossed the river, deer loved to come and drink and Bald Eagles flew by - no bear thank God! The fire pit was awsome - huge, with lots of wood stacked for us. Caught a couple trout, but didn't keep them. Thanks alot for sharing your little piece of paradise!

Wonderful, relaxing, cabin.
A beautiful spot. Perfect for relaxing around the wood stove, enjoying the river, and exploring the area. Well situated between the coast and towns like Port Angeles. I was there with my friend, our two daughters, and his son and none of us wanted to leave. Todd and Dannielle were very attentive and all the necessary info was provided and easy to follow. I highly recommend it for a mellow, relaxing, getaway.
