The daytime temperatures are generally mild and pleasant, though evenings can be quite cool, so packing layers is always a good idea. This period is superb for travellers who want to make the most of their time outdoors, whether it's before or after their journey on the train to Machu Picchu. The shoulder months of April and November also offer a good balance. While there might be a bit more rain than in the peak dry season, the weather is still generally pleasant, and you might find fewer crowds.
