The large common areas upstairs and downstairs gave us plenty of room to gather, and the large bedrooms gave everyone a comfortable space of their own. The kitchen was very well-stocked with tools and the little things in the pantry you forget to bring on vacation. We enjoyed all its features including spectacular views through huge windows, a fully stocked kitchen, the convenient layout, cleanliness, convenience to the town. The theater was a particular highlight for everyone. This place has it all."

"We had a wonderful time walking to shops and visited a brewery in downtown Detroit Lakes. We originally intended to cross-country ski the area, but with no snow and unseasonably warm weather, we involved Plan B with family and simply hung out together. The house was extremely comfortable, well stocked, and exceeded our expectations. Great neighborhood, and great host."

"Beautiful home. We had 8 adults and 3 kids. Nice home to gather but if unable to do steps probably not for you as the kitchen is on second floor. We were there in the winter and enjoyed our stay, Easy check in and communication great with host. If going in summer not a place with kids as have to cross a highway to get to water and no beach area. As far as adults and a place to get together a great place."

"We had a girls weekend and had the most wonderful time. The vibes and décor were so fun. Everything we needed was there, including table and chairs on the deck to enjoy the nice weather. Walking distance down to the bars on the lake was so convenient and nice. I went for morning runs down by the water also as there are great walking paths to do so. Highly recommend. The host is the best.. quick to respond and a great person to top it off. We cannot wait to go back again next year!"

"My family takes a yearly vacation up in this area for snowmobiling and ice fishing. We usually stay at a different VRBO but we opted to try this place this year because it was a better price and a larger house. I contacted the host a day before arrival to see if we would be able to get in any sooner than 4PM since we were traveling quite a distance and wanted to time our arrival correctly. I was told that any sooner that 3PM would incur a half day charge. We arrived at 3:30. I notified the host...

"The place was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for 3 generations of family. Amy gave us a tour of the lake upon arrival in the pontoon so we’d know the fishing spots and even provided grandpa with a walking stick to make it easier to get to the dock. Will definitely be back! 5 stars given by all!"

I have stayed in other VRBO's with family for vacations, but this was not a vacation for me. "Loved the property. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Well stocked with cooking items. The host responded to any questions immediately. We also appreciated the WiFi and TV services since we spent more time indoors than usual due to the cold weather"

"Cabin is much larger and better laid out than the pictures show. You have a perfect picture window view of the lake, and plenty of water toys at the beach. Just great!"

"Love this Island getaway. We rented our own pontoon from R&R rentals. Paddle boards and kayaks are provided from renters. Comfy beds, pantry full of essentials and spices. You really just need to bring food, beverages and clothes. Internet was good and I was able to work half days. Loved sauna and fire pit. Wonderful memories nade with our kids and grandchildren. Fishing was great! We will be back."

"Staff was friendly and accessible, the grounds were gorgeous and there are lots of activities on-site. The boardwalks connecting all the cabins did make quite a lot of noise whenever people walked by, so that's my only real complaint."
