Has to be the nicest hotel in Pollensa

Posted 10-Sep-2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Enforce the policy re not placing towels to reserve sun beds and then disappearing for breakfast.
Location: Spend some time in the squares at old Pollensa.
Second time we have stayed at this lovely hotel. It is a real pleasure to visit. The hotel staff are excellent and so friendly and helpful. The facilities are fantastic and to have breakfast in the outside restaurant area is just a joy. Planning my return next year.

Excellent location.

Posted 12-Aug-2017
Very pleased with our weeks stay. We booked 3 rooms for 6 people on B and B. The rooms on floors 3 and 4 have no balconies, consequently, they appear a little on the small side. However, that is a small issue. The breakfast was excellent.

Fantastic hotel great location

Posted 08-Aug-2017
Pros: The staff are exceptional, and the location is great. Far enough out the be peaceful, but close enough 5 minute walk to the lively promenade shops etc
Cons: I do like ice cold air conditioning, this would be my only upgrade. Although the AC works well, I do like it cooler.
Location: Right on the beach front, and 5 min walk to the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants.
The hotel has a fantastic chilled vibe and the staff are some of the best I have ever encountered. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. The hotel staff are very attentive and professional, nothing is to much trouble. We have stayed her numerous times and would definitely recommend the hotels for a great relaxing stay.

Nice hotel shame about the bar staff.

Posted 28-Jul-2017
We stayed in the apartments, that were slightly on the small side for a couple with two children who had to share a sofa bed, but otherwise pretty good. Hotel was well located right on the water. The restaurant was good with fantastic views across the bay, the adjacent bar also enjoyed a great location, but we found the service poor, with orders frequently going wrong. However all in all a good experience,

Hotel Illa Dor apartments

Posted 24-Jul-2017
Pros: Setting, facilities, and location close to beach
Cons: A small welcome pack of milk, water and sugar - they provide an nespresso machine and coffee capsules but no milk or sugar And it's not cheap
Location: Pine Walk at Puerto Pollensa. Short walk alongside the beach into the town Speaks for itself
We have stayed here many time; lovely apartments in lovely setting with the added benefit of being able to use the Hotel facilities Breakfast is well worth paying extra for

Quality hotel, but a few niggles

Posted 21-Jul-2017
Pros: The breakfast! Very comfortable beds. The staff were mostly corteous and helpful (the front desk especially).
Cons: See comments under 'experience'.
Location: The Pinewalk in to Port de Pollenca is lovely. Some restaurants are better than others of course!
We were warmly greeted on arrival and our room was ready before the expected check in time. However, it had been hurriedly cleaned and the floor was mucky. This was rectified while we were out. Although it was spacious and comfortable the heat of the sun against the west facing window was so fierce that the aircondition had difficulty keeping a constant temperature. The were no awnings or parasols on the balconies which we felt was inadequate. The breakfasts were quite superb - all you could want and plenty of fresh orange juice and coffee. My wife and I chose to eat out visiting restaurants in the area so we can't comment on lunch or dinner. One reason was the inconvenience of having to chose either an early, or a late dinner sitting. The beach area and surrounding pool areas were rather cramped with sunbeds crowded in to maximise useage. This meant that it was impossible to move sunbeds more than a few centimeters where cover from the sun was limited by too few parasols. It was explained to me that the beach area is council owned and rented back to the hotel and restrictions are placed on the number of parasols that can be placed there. With the temperature at 35C getting out of the sun for several hours was essential. I would estimate that the ratio of sunbeds to number of hotel rooms (2 guests per room) to be around 50%. Similarly the pool area. And the pool is a little small due to the lack of space.
