"Room burglarized, hotel did nothing"
Earlier this yr I stayed 4 weeks. At end of 3 weeks, my room was burglarized. Hotel acted more upset AT ME. I was nervous the whole last week and when I checked out, i forgot to get back my $100 cash deposit. Hotel DID NOT try to call or otherwise remind me about my forgotten deposit. Instead, when i finally DID remember, they pointed out that included on my receipt for deposit was sentence stating hotel would only hold the hotel-required $100 for two days, then its theirs. So they kept my $100. Btw-my room was not broke into. Someone entered with a key. Street-facing, 2nd story, ledgeless window entry was not very possible, even if I'd left them unlocked, but i hadnt. No forceful entry of front door. But when robber left, he/she opened wide both windows and also front door, so room had wind gusting through it, open to the world, trying to imply... AS IF ANYONE STAYING AT A HOTEL WOULD BE SO DUMB. Unfortunately, due to money constraints, i still will occasionally use this hotel due to price, location.
