The grounds around the cottages was beautifully kept. They greeted us on arrival and allowed us to check in early and gave us plenty of local tips for the weekend. We were in cabin five, which is the bottom cabin and in our eyes, the best cabin! It was very clean, peaceful, stocked fridge with everything you need for breakfast and a delicious bottle of wine to unwind with. There are a number of places for drinks and food within walking distance and the iHop bus stops five minutes down the road, opening up the central Pokolbin area. It’s a great location for exploring the Hunter Valley but also allows you to escape from it all and have your privacy and relax. From the moment we drove up the driveway we we were taken away by the beauty of the property and the friendliness of the staff. We really enjoyed cooking breakfast and eating out on our private patio in the mornings looking out over the vineyards on the opposite hill and even saw a few kangaroos hopping by. The accommodation was cosy and spacious. There were lovely outdoor areas to enjoy a wine and the magnificent view of the Mountains. The property was spotlessly clean and the guests supplies were very generous. Ken and Suzie were absolutely incredible hosts. Our every need was met beyond anything we could have dreamed; with fresh baked muffins, eggs and bread supplied daily along with other continental breakfast options. The property is clean, comforting and beautiful and the surrounds are just gorgeous. It's also located within walking distance to two restaurants and a pub so you don't have to worry about counting your drinks. All ingredients for a nice breakfast included in the cottage with a kitchenette. In my extensive traveling this was the worst service I have ever experienced. Ken and Suzie were amazing hosts and shared so many wonderful things about the area- even a bottle of wine to help us celebrate our anniversary!
