Hotel is small but very well located right in the middle of Little Italy. Not a luxurious place, but clean and comfortable. Pleasant front desk staff too.

Just awesome(thank you to the front desk staff March 22/24):) We stayed in the room with the Bed and sofa bed it was awesome like mini studio apartment it had everything we needed microwave,freezer, a big flat screen television and the pod coffee maker like keuring kind if you want to bring your coffee, the hotel is in little Italy there’s a lot to do by walking tons of restaurants, supermarkets nearby so nice to watch people just seating enjoy themselves while having a cocktail, I recommend the hop on off which offers 12 stops we were able to enjoy little Italy, in 8 hours we were able to enjoy a lot I’m great full, old town was awesome for gifts shopping and seaport for seafood but I believe you need more than a day to explore the maritime museum and that area, you can ask front desk for a better deal, the stop in little Italy is a few steps away from the hotel, the check in was super fast as well as check out and trust me you will not find a better deal this is centrally located in San Diego I was on the budget because we stayed for only 10 hours I booked one day only, I arrived around 11am to 12pm untin 10pm same day because I was carrying my luggage with my personal computer and expensive tech stuff and they were kind enough to let check in early this is subject to availability but keep in mind you can check in and they will keep your luggage safe with them so you get around until is you check in time, bilingual staff,I will definitely return the room was very clean.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Parking was $24 per night or you were on your own to find street parking. Virtually, no lobby and staff was alright, certainly not great. In a very congested area with lots of noise. TV didnt work - staff tried but could not fix it. Won't stay there again.

The property has really good vibes, and it also has a laundry facility on site. Prices are extremely reasonable too! Overall a very pleasant experience.

Great no-frills hotel stay. Had everything we needed for a stay in San Diego. Close to the airport and walkable to Downtown area. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast but there are a great selection of places to eat in the immediate vicinity. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Chilled and hot water dispenser in the hall as well as ice machine, and fridge in room were very convenient.

It looks much better from the outside. Inside it is just another cheap hotel that has had a very poor renovation. Rusty shelving in the bathroom was unnecessary.

The rooms needed maintenance. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a latch on the door. The staff was great and the location is good.

I stayed for 1 night. The location is excellent in the heart of Little Italy. The hotel does not have food options but there are many choices around the hotel. The room was small but comfortable. I liked that I could open the window for fresh air. My one complaint is the decor. It was very drab. I would describe the wall colour as ‘prison gray’ and there were no pictures on the walls. Brighter, more stylish decor would seem more in keeping with being called a ‘boutique’ hotel. If ‘drab’ doesn’t bother you then I would recommend this place.

Great staff. Always smiling, quick to offer assistance. The property is in the heart of Little Italy. Never had far to walk for food, coffee, a market. As for the room, it was clean had everything we need. There was just sloppy patch work done to the walls. Probably to fix water damage to wall under airconditioner. The tv was not centered on the wall so one side stuck out creating a place for my husband to hit his arm multiple times walking in and out of the bathroom.

The best features of Urban Boutique Hotel were their friendly and helpful staff, comfortable king sized bed, and location next to restaurants and the bay. Located in Little Italy, it is about a mile from downtown, a quick taxi ride away. We had business to do in the downtown area, and it was a good less expensive and pleasant place to stay.
