I parked at the front and proceeded to check in. Within 2 minutes, the front attendant (lady) glared angrily at me demanding that i move my vehicle despite the fact that my wife and i were checking in and removing our luggage. Additionally, another front attendant told us we were not allowed on the premises since we did not have the wrist bands on. We mentioned to the attendant once again, that we were checking in. Very aggressive and visibly angry. Definitely not a great first impression.
Breakfast was a rough outing. The breakfast buffet is served between 7:30 - 9:30 am. We waited for more than 20 minutes at the omelette station for someone to show up and help with our order. When the attendant showed up, she was not smiling and was visibly upset. Coffee took awhile to get as well, the waiter took our order and disappeared for 10 minutes. She returned and asked if 'they had taken care of me' I'm not sure who she was referring to when she explicitly stated that she would be right back with 2 cups, cream, sugar and our coffee. There were other things, however, the key takeaway is that even though premises are in dire needed of repairs, it is the people that ultimately make the resort experience enjoyable. If most of the staff is visibly annoyed, upset or angry, then they should not be in the hospitality business as it ruins the overall experience.
