Thanks for the review - we always try our best with our menu - that's why we now have freshly cooked pastries, yogurt, fruit and the cooked options but we have passed your suggestions to the kitchen. We do hope to see you again soon.

The Kynance was a great last minute booking. It had everything you needed and included a varied breakfast for the price. Customer service was above and beyond. Something was left in the room. I called and the staff sorted it straight away and sent it Special Delivery immediately and even covered the postage which was so kind. I definitely recommend. Thank you The Kynance

Great reception on arrival - John was genuine, friendly and extremely helpful. Room was perfect for our needs and money. Excellent customer service throughout our stay Our dogs were spoiled and given a sausage at breakfast - we sat in separate area to dining room but it was very nice Excellent value for money - can highly recommend

Perfect break
It was perfect for our needs. Two puppies and an elderly relative. Close to Hoe and graduation. Very friendly staff who could not do enough for us

Enjoyed my stay, breakfast very good,staff very helpful and friendly. Room nice and clean but i do feel that the hotel could do with a complete makeover as it is a bit dated but having said that it's in a great location and i would stay again.

Thanks for the review - we are always decorating and upgrading but we are very careful not to do too much as we were built in 1843 and we want to retain as much of our original character as we can.

Very much enjoyed our stay here, was booked abit last minute, but the staff were amazingly helpful when I rung to check about checking in as thought we might be late after going to watch a show at the theater. Pleasantly surprised to find out quite how close they were! Was happy to pay for their limited parking, knowing the car was somewhere safer than "on the road" was lovely. Staff were ever so friendly, lovely room, though no "views" due to hotel's location. But also located just a few minutes walk from Plymouth hoe, so lots of views to be had if you're ok with a short walk! Very good value for money too!

Was greeted at 11pm ckeckin by a frustrated owner and another man with an alsatian dog! Not the best start. We had arranged a late check in but communication had not got through. Otherwise friendly staff. Basic comfort. Duvets bit thin .

Thanks for the review - we are sorry for the confusion regarding your late check in - the message that was passed to reception was that you would be checking in before your show, whilst Reception was still open, not an hour after it had closed. The man with the Husky was taking his dog for a walk - we welcome all family members here! We have to balance the thickness of our duvets between too thick and too thin - we settle at a tog rating of 13.5 to try an provide the maximum comfort for our guests - we are sorry that this wasn't quite enough for you during your stay.

Good little guest house
This was an ideal place for a one night stay whilst going to see Bellowhead at the Pavilions which is only a short walk away. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast good with plenty of choice.

Short and Comfortable break
Last minute booking for a single night. Overall a great stay. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and helped us with any issues throughout. Room was good value and the en-suite was very clean - it almost looked new. Parked car on site. A bit tight as we have a long car but free which was a real bonus. Hotel is well situated for the city centre and sights at the Barbican and the Hoe. Breakfast was good and the service was excellent. All in all a great experience.
