"Great hotel, great service, from the moment you arrive till you leave everyone is super friendly and helpful. The one thing that they need to improve on is on their food in the The Mexican restaurant, which should be the best of all has a very bad menu, and slow service. During the time I was there, waiting for my main course, since there wasn’t anything appealing in their entrees buffet, I didn’t see anyone stand up and get something. Two tables came and went, disappointed by the food. And my enchiladas, not worth the time I had to wait for them. "

"The hotel was very nice. Live band in the evenings was great, arcade was fun, karaoke was a nice touch. Lots of pools to choose from and seating areas. Food was great, and the staff were fantastic."

"Room was very worn looking but decent size… the property places a cap on the AC in the rooms and it’s NOT cool enough!!! It was miserable… We were so hot the first night we thought the AC was broken and the fan didn’t work. We approached the front desk and there was nothing that they could do minus switching rooms. So we switched rooms at 3 AM. Again the AC was regulated but at least the fan in the ceiling worked. The rest of the staff were fantastic, especially the bartenders… The food was very bland and massively watered down… The beach was beautiful, but small. Unfortunately, there were only a handful of lawn chairs and even fewer umbrellas. This was the third Riu resort we have been to in Cancun and this one was by far the worst."

"Very disappointed at this hotel, don’t even believe the 9.2 rating, it’s short staffed, no waitress at the beach, no good amenities, room for some reason u can’t open the balcony doors or the floors will get wet, (condensation they said ) never seen it happen in any other hotel, restaurant by the pool open at 11am and closes at 3pm, can’t say anything staff will get mad at you, it’s just soo much bad for this hotel, would never recommend to anyone."

"We booked this hotel through Expedia and arrived around noon, but we were told we had to wait until 3 p.m. to check in. They offered no flexibility; if we wanted early check-in, it was $20 per hour. Even though they said the hotel was 60% full, many families, like us, were waiting in the lobby until the 3 p.m. rush. It was ridiculous—if rooms were ready, they should have let us check in sooner, instead of holding everyone until the same time. That night, we were also told we had to move our car because of supposed construction work. Despite our plan to leave the next day, they insisted we had to move it that night and pay for parking at a lot next door. We asked why we should pay,you guys at the hotel should pay, but they refused. So, we set an alarm for 6 a.m. to handle it. When we arrived, the parking lot next door had no idea about the arrangement. After going back and forth for an hour, the morning shift still didn’t have answers. Eventually, one employee with good English helped us park, but it was a total mess. By the time we left at noon, there was no construction at all. The poor management was obvious—no communication, and the front desk staff was left stranded. While the room itself was fine, the overall experience was exhausting and poorly organized. I wouldn't recommend this hotel... But Valentina at the front desk was very sweet"
