I did the responsible thing by not showing up and potentially exposing staff and other guests to illness. Expedia even reached out to the hotel on my behalf to explain the situation, but despite that, the hotel refused to issue any kind of refund. On top of that, I kept getting the runaround—every time I called, I was told the manager wasn’t available. It felt like they were just avoiding the situation instead of trying to help or even have a conversation about it. It’s frustrating that there was no understanding or flexibility given the circumstances. I wasn’t canceling for no reason—I was trying to protect others. Based on this experience, it feels like customer care isn’t a priority here. If you ever find yourself sick or dealing with a family emergency, don’t expect any compassion or accommodation—you’ll still lose your money."
