"The area was amazing with a beautiful view. The hotel needs alot of updates. It advertised 2 restaurants, but only had one which was all buffet. We paid for a mini bar in our room. We only had it filled when we arrived and never again after that. We were told that it gets filled every other day, however that never happened. The drinks we did get we had to go ask for on our second day there. The staff was nice and the view was great. The hotel needs to add some restaurants. "

The property was clean and nice and the location was perfect. We were able to rent a golf court and have tons of excellent options for dining and activities within minutes of the golf cart ride. "

"Good family place. I wish there were more shaded areas close to the pools. The stone used around the pools must be replaced; they were a huge hazard to fall when wet and burn your feet really bad; we saw a few people falling. The room was OK; nothing special but are in need of upgrades & basic maintenance. Our bathtub for instance did not hold water. The staff is great and the nature around you beautiful. All-in-all a great place but compared to the Ritz-Carlton around the corner the Four Seasons is no longer the best hotel in the area."

"Rebecca and her team were amazing in preparing for our stay providing pre stocking, golf cart arrangements and even Valentine’s Day flower arrangements. The home was better than the pictures and we absolutely loved the breathtaking views from every corner of the house. The housekeeping team were also amazing making sure the house was spotless and ready to be enjoyed every day. We highly recommend the home and we hope to return again in the future. "

"We had a wonderful family stay here on Peninsula Papagayo. Ana and the concierge team were great to work with. The property was clean, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the golf cart didn’t work, but it sounds like they’ve since found the problem and are addressing it for the next renters. We had great dinners at the Four Seasons, Ritz and Andaz. If you want to cook or grill at home, the kitchen is fully stocked. The Prieta beach club was lovely… great service, uncrowded and perfect for kids and adults alike. We spent half a day at the new community park and the kids loved the big water slides and climbing wall. We were impressed by the hardworking groundskeeper crews and appreciated the extra level of security the peninsula had. All in all, it was a great stay and we’d definitely rent again! "

"It’s really hard to put into words just how spectacular our stay at Villa Mariposa was. Everything about the experience didn’t simply exceed our expectations; it absolutely blew them away. Chad, our host, was in constant contact and incredibly helpful. The staff on the ground is even more so. By way of example, we ran out of propane at the grill one night around 7:30pm. After a quick call the the local staff a new tank was delivered and installed in about 15 minutes.The property is “blow-your-mind” incredible. The images in the listing do not do it justice. This is the sort of place from which legends are created, and songs or poems are written. The Peninsula Papagayo area was also fantastic. The golf course was one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The beach club and restaurants were relaxed and delicious. If you have kids, wait until they see the brand-new play park. Just amazing.Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10. This rental experience rolls in at 52.We will be back!"
