Wonderful stay. Rooms very clean and nice. Stuff very helpful and friendly. Food was great too. Will definitely consider for our next vacation.

Hotel Room, Staff, and Food

When we got to the resort we instantly smelled sewage. It was not a very inviting smell. However, we were already there, and everything was paid for (or so we assumed) we had no other choice but to suck it up. We checked in and there was a $14/week ecological fee that we had to pay up front (this wasn’t mentioned on the website). That was annoying. We get to the hotel room and to be honest it was clean enough. There were little lizards on the ceiling and lots of ants in the bathroom, but hey I figured this was normal because we are in Mexico. Our air conditioner was located on the ceiling and it constantly produced droplets of water so we had to use a towel underneath and the cleaning staff just replaced the towel on the floor each time they came in. Our shower knob kept falling off and the bathtub didn’t drain properly. It accumulated water as we showered. We were literally standing in our own filth, but hey I figured it was just another swimming pool experience. However, what made up for the lack in the hotel room was the delicious food. Each night they had different food themes and it was all very appetizing. The staff was also on point. They were super attentive and catered to our every need. There was only one night when we didn’t get service in the buffet. Usually as soon as you walk in, waiters ask what drinks you want, then give refills without you even asking. They also instantly take your plate away, but that one night we didn’t get that kind of service.

If you are looking for an inexpensive all inclusive to drink copious amounts of liquor at with minimal amenities, this is your resort. While it clearly could use a renovation, the property is not in bad shape. Our only complaints were the very hard beds and terrible food. We tried each of the buffets and restaurants except for the French one as we could not secure a reservation. The food ranged from disappointing to out right disgusting.

Nice resort

Pros: Pool
Cons: Beach access
Location: Playa del Carmen is close by.
Nice resort and comfortable stay. Staff are excellent!

Worst All Inclusive Experience

This was the worst all inclusive I’ve stayed at! I was astonished by how RUDE the staff was to us. I even spoke with fellow vacationers who agreed that the staff was not pleasant at all. I was even told by a security guard that American’s don’t get treated all that well in their resorts (his words). They also pushed a time share on us multiple times and we continuously declined which left the staff angry. The food was absolutely horrible at the buffets which already had very little options. The restaurants also weren’t very good except for the steak house. I was also grosses out by the fact that kitchen personnel do NOT use gloves when cooking and cross contamination is easily possible for those with food allergies. Our room had a broken shower and shower knob and our toilet kept giving us problems when flushed. The resort itself smelled absolutely awful and with the humidity at 95%, the smell was unbearable. We weren’t warned that the beach would be so full of seaweed that we wouldn’t even be able to dip into the ocean. Although workers were trying to clean it up, it was absolutely gross. I was so upset the entire stay as it was not relaxing and very much so a vacation that was full of issues. The pool also was VERY dirty with food floating around on multiple occasions. The concierge was pretty much dismissive of our complaints and the resort was overbooked so they sent us to their luxury resort for 1 night and gave us a free day at the spa. Super disappointed!

Great facade

The grounds of the hotel are really nice but the rooms are out dated. The pictures of the rooms shown on the website are the luxurious Suites for the hotel members only, the room we stood in were more like a motel type of room. The worst part my diamond pendent was missing when i reported it the attitude i received was "Oh well" and not even a concern or a shock that this happen. That was very bad customer service.

Not recommended, very small beach.

Pros: Swimming pools Ok
Cons: Service. Food.
Location: Beach location not too good.
Room assigned looked old. AC not working properly, I reported the problem but was never fixed, two days before leaving I was told that it was not posible to repair. Most of the personnel very friendly but a couple of guys didn’t show a good customer service. Beach is very short, not long neither wide enough. On top of that, there was a lot of algae in the ocean that workers were trying to clean but it was too much. Algae left on the beach gave a sort of rotten smell.

Very nice hotel

Pros: everything was good I have no complaints
Cons: very minor things like shower door not closing easily
Location: there are certain seasons when the ocean is not swimmable because this plant mater and mud stack up and it doesn't smell nice, pools r great
Try to eat at the restaurant that is directly below the lobby whenever possible for me it was way above the others. staff was super nice and helpful I would go back for sure
