I have just returned from my 3rd holiday in this hotel. I had a newly refurbished room which was light and welcoming, such a difference to last years very tired and worn room. The staff as usual were a pleasure and nothing was too much trouble.

Great location for everything and great facilities at the hotel but please spend the money and update the rooms having very old furniture and a TV that has to be 25years old with a poor picture makes the room nothing more than 3 stars.
"Nice family hotel close to beach, shops and bars."
A central hotel within the resort providing good food and entertainment. A relaxing foyer with nice comfy chairs and sofas!!
Pool area nice and clean with plenty sun beds and a lifeguard on duty at all times.
All staff were very friendly and accommodating to any request.
The restaurant is self service with a large selection of hot and cold food, drinks and fruit.
There is a safe in the room which can be hired for a small daily fee.
I booked this hotel for my 77th birthday and was really pleased with everything. The food could not be faulted.
On my birthday one of the hotel staff came to my door with a bottle of champagne and a birthday card.
It was a lovely surprise.I would book this hotel again

Great service and very good food presented on a self service basis. Few British and mostly German and Italian guests.
Self contained resort. Plenty of activities but not pressured to join in.
Close to all resort facilities in easy walking distance but isolated from tourists hassle.
One minus points is the number of small children in the mix.

The lifeguard on duty for 5 out of our 7 day stay was rude, unhelpful and a jobsworth. he made our time at the pool uncomfortable . He didn't speak any english so he gestured all the time, we were unsure of what we had done wrong, but he made us feel bad just for using the beds and waterproof mattreses. The pool bar staff were also quite rude sometimes. I would like to say that the entertainment staff were brilliant though. Very friendly and happy. The reception staff were also quite abrupt, maybe because it was Christmas, even so we had paid our holiday so we expect good service any time of the year. The food at breakfast was warm, but not hot... Plenty of everything and it was all quite nice, but not hot enough. The chef who cooked our pancakes and omelettes was happy to serve. The wifi was free, and we were supposed to have it in our room, but we could only connect in the main reception. dissapointing for a 14 year old...
Pocket Guide: Tenerife Playa de las Americas Hotels
Famous for its boisterous nightlife, Playa de las Américas attracts youthful revellers, as well as budget family holidaymakers, from all over northern Europe. By day the young slumber on the black-sand beach while families can enjoy one of the many attractions such as the dolphin show at Octopus Aquapark, or Parque las Aguilas (Eagles Park) to see free-flying birds of prey. A boat trip from neighbouring Los Cristianos to La Gomera is recommended.
