Had a wonderful time. First time in Playa de las Americas, normally would have gone to Puerto de la Cruz. Not been to Tenerife for 14 years and saw a big difference. Looking to go back in the next few months and would certainly book into the Cleopatra.
The hotel was good, great location. I upgraded the room but all it gave was a sea view, the room was relatively small but adequate. Breakfast was okay, plenty to choose from. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. Many restaurants and bars around the area so always something to choose.
Very nice Hotel on our last day of check out a room was provided for us as we had a late flight, Hotel Staff are second to none, very friendly and helpful. THE ROOM COMFORT IS EXCELLENT, HOWEVER I FEEL THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS NEEDS IMPROVING, in comparison with other Hotels that I have stayed in that are not as luxurious as Europe Villa Cortes.

"Second visit and highly recommend the Sir Anthony"
As per the title of the review, this is our second visit and we look forward to a third. The hotel and location are first class. staff and general hotel facilities are excellent. we stayed on a BnB basis and recommend this approach as there are many great restaurants close by, Bianco, Friends and The hard Rock to name a few. The hotel restaurant food is good but it is also good to get out for a wider variety.
This hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the beach, shops, bars and cafes. It is the second time I have visited this hotel.
Staff at the main reception of this hotel are amazing, and will help with any queries, even phoning your room to make sure all is ok when you have just checked in.
Hotel is undergoing some work at present, so I was woken up by hammering on the floor above on a couple of mornings. Also part of the pool area and front of hotel was cornered off as they were completing work, but the noise was very minimal for that work.
The rooms are basic furnished and clean, but could do with updating - which is what they may have been doing on the floor above? Not sure, but the maids visited daily and did a good job. Air con in room worked great, which was needed as it was hot!
Had a great room with good view, even though I was a lone traveller. Was quiet as I did not hear people in the rooms next to me even though they were occupied.

A very good selection of breakfast which I find surprising for such a hotel. Swimming pool is not that big but adequate. Staffs are nice and attentive to your needs and requests. Rooms are clean with basic toiletries in the bathroom. A/C works perfectly fine. Excellent location, local shops, restaurants and the beach is just a few minutes walk down the road. The only downside to our stay is the lack of parking space next to the hotel and the surrounding area. Generally, parking is free if you can find one!
Overall, a very good hotel if you have limited budget. Will definitely recommend to friends & family travelling to Tenerife.

Great hotel, clean (staff work very hard and do a great job cleaning). Comfortable, equipped with absolutely everything. Quiet relaxing and beautiful decoration. Pool bar needs more staff, service a little slow. Hotel food not so good. All facilities and staff friendly. Would definately return, one of the best hotels around. Perfect location if renting a car or not!

Pool view overlooking the sea - amazing!!. Lovely hotel with lots of palm trees by the pool area. Very clean. Lots of seating around the bar and lobby area with comfortable sofas and chairs. The food was amazing with lots of variety to cater for all. We went Half Board which was adequate. In between breakfast and dinner we went to the shops on the promenade for ice cream and cocktails. You can change dinner to lunch, just have to let the receptionist know on the day. It is worth waiting until you get to the hotel to book yourself onto Excursions. The hotel has a rep and also there are a lot of places outside the hotel selling them. No beach balls or inflatables are allowed in the pool - which in way was nice because it meant that we could swim several lengths without getting disturbed. If you want a towel for the pool - it costs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Activities and entertainment were very good. The whole experience from the flight, transfer, hotel and location were all excellent. Felt very safe at the hotel as security guard always at the front.
Great hotel, laid back and helpful staff. Like the rooftop pool and sauna.
The room was so big, it would benefit a kettle! Bed was uncomfortable but don't let that put anyone off.
I would stay there again.
Pocket Guide: Tenerife Playa de las Americas Hotels
Famous for its boisterous nightlife, Playa de las Américas attracts youthful revellers, as well as budget family holidaymakers, from all over northern Europe. By day the young slumber on the black-sand beach while families can enjoy one of the many attractions such as the dolphin show at Octopus Aquapark, or Parque las Aguilas (Eagles Park) to see free-flying birds of prey. A boat trip from neighbouring Los Cristianos to La Gomera is recommended.
