Great restaurant, bar and outside area. Very friendly staff! The solution with open bathroom and room was a bit weird to me, not my preferred hotel room solution, but we only stayed on night and it was not a problem. Would recommend LLoyd Hotel, especially due to the friendly staff and nice restaurant!

Kindest staff. We had a problem with our flight and they allowed us to switch the hotel booking days and upgraded us for free The hotel room was gorgeous and unique, definitely one of a kind and a must visit. Great location and a lovely bar opposite.

I've stayed here before with my brother just on a lads trip, but came here this time with my girlfriend and it was amazing. A lovely welcome and an amazing room - staff were brilliant, and if you know your way around the tram system i'd say it's an easier spot to stay in than Central Amsterdam - supermarket across the road if you need anything. 10/10 will be making this my regular stay! Thanks guys

Really unique property. Loved the rooms. Basement rooms are not great though and people at street level can see down into your room. It was also very noisy of an evening. We asked to be moved and were moved to a better room on the third floor which was excellent

Beautiful old building that has been fully modernized inside. The staff were wonderful. Would highly recommend visiting the bar for good drinks and conversation. Also, the breakfast buffet is excellent. Only complaint was there was some trash in bin in room upon check-in.

My favorite hotel
The Lloyd is my favorite hotel. Comfortable, friendly, quirky and interesting rooms, comfy beds, great food and lovely staff. The location is really nice. Though it is a little outside of the center, the tram to Central Station is right around the corner or you can walk for 20 minutes along the water and be right in the center of Amsterdam. Nice restaurants and shopping right near by. The Lloyd is a special place, my home away from home in Amsterdam.

We stay at the Lloyd every time we come to Amsterdam. Almost every year since 2004. It’s much fancier now. The location is ideal. The bar and restaurant are great. The staff is fantastic. The rooms are quirky but comfortable. My only complaint all this time is the terrible pillows. They basically sacks of air that deflate to nothing once you lay down.

I had a great stay at the Llyod hotel! This was my first trip to Amsterdam and I booked the comfort room which was clean, comfortable and a great place to rest and relax. The lobby was very ascetically pleasing and the fresh floral arrangement was a keen touch!

A great stay for the price.
The hotel is lovely & clean, with cool styling. The beds are pretty basic, and the room I was in was quirkily only lit by lamps - but it was an excellent stay for the price.

This is an old building that has been converted into a hotel. It is a grocery store across the street and restaurants near by. Great location for us to catch our bike and barge boat.

Great quirky hotel
If you like walking, only half an hour to city centre. Quiet area with a couple of good eateries nearby. Staff in hotel were great, good service and friendly. Bar a little expensive, but then so is the whole city. Rooms are spacious and quirky, the hotel was previously a prison. I would happily stay here again. Check walking distance to attractions, when I booked it said a local attraction was 680m away, it was in fact 4500m away.

The hotel is nice and good location. The staff are very helpful. However the choice of bathroom is strange. There is only a bath and no shower. For business stay this dosent really work.

Great hotel in a great location!
Great hotel in a great location. Peaceful but close enough to the city centre and the museums quarter. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was spacious and quiet. Looking forward to my next stay!

The hotel building was quite unique. The staff excellent. It was situated away from the the crowded city centre and therefore it was quieter. The tram service was close by so travel to places of interest was easy. It was also close to one of the cruise ship terminals. We enjoyed our 3 nights there prior to boarding our cruise ship.

We travel a lot. Though we have never been to Amsterdam. The stay was fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The city has great transportation and extremely walkable. I get wanting to preserve aspect of the look and feel of the history of the building. The use of duct tape in The common areas was a little strange. The room had space. But was designed strangely. Meaning there was weird distribution of areas. The open shower seems nice until you get in it. The water pressure and temps tire were both tepid. The bathroom has very little ventilation. This might all be a part of the plan to keep a certain feel. But choosing a nicer “room” my own expectations were a little higher. There was a There is a lot of street noise but what can you do about that. Again the stay was fine. I just don’t know if I would do it again.

Great return visit
Stayed in an economy room for 1 night on a quick trip to Amsterdam. Whilst located out of the city transportation links are excellent and the extra space offered is well worth it. Second time staying at this hotel and would definitely recommend. There are rooms to match all pockets and travel groups.
