I stayed for 4 nights at the Manor hotel. While the decoration is a bit on the funky side; hallways with red wallpaper and red carpets, some questionable art in the rooms, the rooms are actually clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean.
Room very comfortable. Mirror in the bathroom too high to see in. I would be nice to have tea/coffee in room but they have tea stations on every other floor. Didn't have breakfast but it looked really good when I walked by
Booked as part of a deal, really was not expecting a lot from the hotel as was very last minute. There is only one tram in and out of the centre to the hotel so its easy not to get lost, as an added bonus this stops directly opposite the hotel, there are also taxis around the street out front (and a public urinal much to my partners dismay, after seeing how much use they get instead of in the park directly next to it, she changed her mind!).
When entering the grounds it is surrounded by a courtyard, this completely blocks the noise of any traffic and provides a relaxing space with ample seating, lighting and a lovely tree. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly by staff who were very friendly. After paying the standard city tax we went up to our room on the first floor via elevators (I never saw stairs the entire visit however I believe this may be because of a conference centre, sandwiched above the lobby and the first which may have been accessible by stairs??) The room was generously sized and we were extremely fortunate to have a view over Oost park (the other three sides have views over the park to the back, the Tropic institute the the side and the main road/courtyard to the front). The room has the standard tea/coffee facilities a strong & hot shower and a television, there was also the added bonus of a safe. The bed was a double and it was an ok size and comfortable.
The hotel is a 20-25 min taxi ride from the airport and a 10 min tram ride to Dam square (add 5-7min for central station. The tram stop is 100m from the hotel so all very convenient. Many cafes near the hotel to have a meal and hotel is location in a quiet and leafy area (think Holland Park if you live in London).
Staff very helpful and allowed early check-in. Rooms are a tad tired but no major complaints really..
Me and my partner came over to celebrate our anniversary together and the hotel met all of our needs and more. It was spacious, clean, fresh and had everything needed within. tram takes max 10 mins to get to the centre which I thought was perfect, away from the noise yet still highly accessible!! :))
We stayed as a couple for two nights here and really loved it. The room was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly.
The hotel is quite small but the room sizes are adequate. It was fitted with an electronic safe, TV, amazing shower and very central surrounding.
The building neighbors the Auschwitz Memorial Gardens on the East of the center of Amsterdam. We were able to walk to the Anne Frank House in 30mins after a few stops on the way. Everything is in reach here and there is a tram stop at the end of the street (2min walk)

This area is known as Plantage (Plantation) and while its lush parkland has mostly gone, botanical gardens and the small Artis Zoo provide refuge from the hustle of the city. To the north, the excellent maritime Nederlands Scheepvaartmuseum is a reminder of Dutch naval power; to the south the ethnographical Tropenmuseum holds exotic treasures from the Dutch East Indies.
