Inn itself is very conveniently located to Telluride and Ridgway. I like that it is small, more quiet and reasonably priced. Amy was very friendly and helpful with making recommendations for places to visit. would definitely recommend and plan to return!

Quaint but needs some upkeep

Posted 10-Jul-2017
Pros: Charming, small town vibe, comfortable
Cons: Property needs maintenance
Location: Not much to do in town but is a short drive to Telluride.
The hotel as a whole needed some general maintenance but the room was comfortable with only minor upkeep issues in the bathroom. Has a fire pit, hammock and bags area if you want to stay around the hotel. Near enough to Telluride without the high price. The free breakfast was worse than expected but it was free. Food in the hotel was pricey and the quality was not great.

Very pleased I stayed there.

A good clean and comfortable room. For the price I paid (in that area) I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of everything. The continental breakfast was better than most as it also had fresh berries and fruit, not just some boxes of cereal and bagels. When I go back this will be the first place I try and book at.

Great place, make sure restaurant will be open

It was great, quiet, enjoyed the stay. Only downside was the restaurant wasn't open inside and there are none around it so I was counting on it to be open.

Thanks!! The resturant closes during off season, but is open now. Keep in mind, the Sawpit Merchintile country store is less than a mile away with the best BBQ and all kinds of food! To the north (down valley) there is another county store in Placerville. Take care!

Pros: Nice area, about as centrally located to Telluride/Ouray/Norwood as you're going to get.
Cons: open the restaurant earlier in the year
The staff were extremely helpful to us, especially after you guys (cheaptickets) failed to communicate the message about having a dog with us. We actually wound up with a BETTER room, thanks to Julie. And Amy was willing to hook us up with some furniture for our daughter/son-in-law, who recently moved into the area.

Wonderful stay

Posted 14-Apr-2017
We had a great time at Angler Inn, their breakfast was wonderful, a lot of options, and everything tasted great. Room was so clean, bed was huge, very comfortable. We had a great stay. The only thing that is of concern is that we got there around 7 PM, and wanted to go to telluride, the inn has no shuttle, and no busses run after 7, there's no Uber/lyft. And there was no one to help us figure out how to go to telluride. Calling cabs everyone. Ended a much longer notice, so we had to spend the night there and not go out which I disappointing. I wish there was someone at reception who could help guide us on how to commute. Moreover, the restaurant closes at 8, so we couldn't get any food there or any food delivered to us (one pizza place that delivers said they're too busy). So that was frustrating too, that there is no place to get food at night.
