Hotel Veronica

10/10 Excellent

"The staff was very helpful and polite, and the complimentary breakfast each morning in the restaurant was very good. The pool on the roof did not look inviting and looked like it could use some maintenance but we spent most of our time outside the hotel so did not have time for the pool."

Espacio Verde Resort

"The AC was broken out first night. The mirror broke in the restroom. We had to move to another suite and it got better. We had rowdy neighbors so I had to pound on their door to shut them up. The staff is super accommodating. The restaurant in sight is amazing. We ate 3 meals and never had to leave."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Pilar?

The best area to stay in Pilar is generally in or around the town centre, particularly near the municipal hall and the main market. This central area is the most developed part of Pilar, offering the most convenience for travellers. It's where you'll find the primary local establishments, including eateries and shops. The main roads, like the Pilar-President Roxas Road, run through this district, making it easy to access. This location is ideal for travellers who appreciate having amenities within easy reach and want to experience the local daily life. You'll be close to local transport options for exploring the surrounding areas. For those looking for a more relaxed setting, staying slightly outside the immediate town centre, closer to the coastal areas, can offer a more tranquil experience with views of the sea, though with fewer immediate amenities.

When is the best time to go to Pilar?

The best time to go to Pilar is during the dry season, which runs from November to May.This period offers consistently sunny days with minimal rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. The sea is typically calm, superb for island hopping, snorkelling, and diving. Temperatures during these months are warm and pleasant, usually ranging from 25°C to 32°C.For those who enjoy water activities, the months of March, April, and May are particularly good as the water visibility is usually at its best, and the weather is reliably clear. This is also a popular time for local festivals, adding a cultural dimension to your visit if you plan around specific dates. The wet season, from June to October, brings more rain and occasional typhoons, which can disrupt travel plans and limit outdoor activities.
