"5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day. The hotel is a short walk from a small beach and town harbor and near several excellent dining options....

"The suites are nicely located if you have a car as they are a 3 minutes drive from Monemvasia but also offer a pool. The suite we had was spacious for a family with 2 kids. Staff was very nice. I just wish the pool could open later than 6pm especially as sunscreen is not allowed "
"The stay was in a good location and was comfortable and clean. However we had a top floor room and were woken up by very loud banging. Turned out they were replacing the roof and we were not warned.
Management couldn’t credit us because we prepaid but they gave us breakfast. Not much we could do. Just make sure there’s no construction going on when you book!"

"This is one of the best hotels I have *ever* stayed at. Beautiful rooms at a historic hotel in the middle of an olive orchard, a 15 minute drive from Monemvasia. The manager came out to meet us when we parked, knew who we were and brought us to the room prior to my coming to check in. The staff is lovely, Shontei, Hargiro, Nina, (I hope I wrote the names correctly) take care of you as a guest so that you will simply have a good time. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the hotel staff is quick to fix any problem. The view from the quiet private balcony is stunning in its beauty, the proximity to the most beautiful beach in the area, a 2-minute walk away, is worth it all. Coffee is free throughout the day and night, and even a basket of fresh fruit is available for her, if you are craving sweet fruit. The breakfast buffet is rich and luxurious. It's worth it to celebrate my birthday at Iris beach hotel. All was good."
