Excellent friendly kind service from all staff. V Obliging re storing luggage on day of checkout. Spotlessly clean. Excellent buffet breakfast range. Location is close to main road-which impacts on some rooms in terms of noise and views.

Excellent stay in Riva
All staff were excellent We had meals every night in the hotel which were 100% and excellent value for money. The only downside was even though we had paid for a superior room,it was small and facing a busy main road.There were very few parking spaces 12 free places outside.There was a garage which normally there was a fee for but we did park in there for free.The walk into Riva was about 20 minutes.The gardens and pool were lovely

Because we booked through Orbitz, we were told we would have to pay 10 Euros a day to use the spa facility (otherwise it would have been included). The “out building” for our room was a good 250 yds. from main building where breakfast/dining was held, and it was a “barracks-style” facility with no charm appeal, view or ambience. No hand soap and first day Kleenex was used up and never replaced. Location of hotel was pretty close to a mile walk to the town center (waterfront). The beds were low to the floor and uncomfortable.

Astoria fabulous
We had 3 generations staying in the hotel. The staff from the reception to the pool, bar and restaurant staff were excellent and very accommodating. Nothing was too much to ask. We ate most days both at the bar and at the pool and 2 waiters in particular were very attentive. Sergio and Nickala who ensured we had the best time. The facilities at the hotel were super, the pool was large so kids and adults could enjoy it together. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic garden setting under the mountains
The hotel is very nice and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge range of food available. The room was spacious and clean. The grounds and pool area are well maintained and very attractive. The only things that could be improved were the shower in our room needed re-grouting and the dinner menu had very little choice for vegetarians (particularly ones who don’t like mushrooms). Overall a great place to stay and only a few minutes walk down to the old part of Riva.

Great hotel near centre of Garda
A really clean, friendly and easily accessible hotel. This hotel provided a great location for a wedding we attended in the center of Riva del Garda. There is free parking at the hotel or if this is full there is free parking over the road. Check in was smooth and staff spoke great English. The rooms were light, airy and clean. We were in the annex which was at the end of the hotel but near the outdoor pool which was great. The hotel is great for families as it has a great breakfast selection for them, a kids club and a children outdoor pool area. Food here was nice - great selection at breakfast (lovely freshly squeezed orange juice) and a nice lunch menu. Overall a great stay and would definitely come back again.

A quiet oasis with everything we needed
Very happy with our stay. The hotel has a large garden within it's walls where our toddler could run freely and chase birds. We frequently used the two restaurants and were very happy with the food and service. With the warm and sunny weather, we spent each afternoon by the pool our and our toddler loved the staffed play area.

Nice hotel close to everything
We stayed two nights and the staff was very helpful providing information on mountain biking as well as god restaurants to try. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Definitely recommend this place!

Dear Mr Mike, our Resort is 700 mt far from the town centre, less than 10 minutes walking or a couple of minutes by taxi. The Resort is surrounded by a park of 15.000 sm, a location that you couldn't find in the town centre.

Loved the hotel. Lovely pool area with pleasant gardens. Only slight niggle was that all the triple rooms overlooked the local bus station. The double glazing meant it wasn't noisy but relaxing on the balcony wasn't really an option! Also the WiFi in the room was a little haphazard. Breakfasts particularly were very good. Hotel location was a little out of Riva, a good 10 minute walk but in some ways it was nice to away from all the hustle and bustle.

Beautiful hotel, lovely setting, friendly staff
Absolutely beautiful hotel, surrounded by picturesque mountains and beautiful gardens. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast with lots of choice of good quality food and amazing cocktails (I recommend the passion fruit Margarita)! Comfortable rooms, cleaned daily and great outdoor swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers. Riva del Garda is a quiet and picturesque area. The only issue is that it takes 3 buses to get to it from Verona airport or €160 in taxi!! Hiring a car would be recommended!

Astoria Park Hotel of helpfulness
Warm welcome upon arrival that continued throughout the 6 day stay. Room cleaned promptly every morning. Fantastic breakfast (B&B stay only). Note that it is a 10 minute walk to the centre/port of Riva del Garda but nonetheless a pleasant way to travel. Spa, pool and gym facilities very nice and the staff can't do enough to assist you.

Overall a fantastic hotel, good food and lovely rooms with a fantastic view of the mountains. However there were 2 problems: i) the wifi was VERY unreliable with an apple computer, and quite slow even when the connection did work ii) the hotel staff did not respect the door signs for sleeping, the would come in to clean even with the sign on the door

Nice accommodation but wifi was frustrating
This was the second time we stayed at this hotel, having enjoyed our stay last year. We stayed in a Superior room, which was actually bigger and better than the one we had last year. Room was cleaned daily and minibar restocked daily when required. One issue we had whilst there was wifi, they were apparently upgrading it while we were there but it seemed to get worse afterwards with usage limited it seemed as we couldn't access it after uploading some images to social media. The hotel spa and pool were one of the reasons we went back to the hotel and these were vey god again, with towels and robes provided. The hotel is away from the main lakeside waterfront of Riva, a 10 minute walk which may not be ideal for some but wasn't an issue for us and offered free parking which for us was great. Good choice at the breakfast buffet, and an ok snack menu at the pool bar, prices were comparable/cheaper with bars in the area

Top quality hotel with beautiful gardens.
This really is a top hotel. Very clean and modern, but what stands out are the gardens. Beautiful flowers and palm trees leading to the enormous pool. The staff were helpful and the food good. What more can you ask!

The services in this hotel is one of the best. Central location in Riva del Garda, which makes it accessible to everything. The garden was gorgeous although shame about the swimming pool both in the Spa and outside as they seem to be freezing. The room was quite spacious enough but the view from the other building is not spectacular because we were facing the garage. I really enjoyed the Spa.

would go back any time :-)!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the location is great as it is in walking distance to the city center and lake side where all the shops and restaurants are. The pool is nice and we enjoyed the sunny days. We went to the Spa on the rainy day and booked some treatments which we enjoyed very much.

This hotel was fine, but they have a very complicated wifi system that did not work at all on my Mac and worked slowly on my iPhone. The room was small and sparsely furnished. When I checked in they told me they upgraded me to a garden room, but the room looked out on the street and did not have much of a view of the garden. The breakfast was okay, but I have had much better ones at other hotels. Overall, the hotel was adequate but I think there are better choices in Riva.

Lovely hotel- a short walk from the main town
Great hotel and Riva is Brilliant! Staff on reception and in the dining hall were super. Grumpy bar man though. Canyoning is a must activity in th local area for those who seek excitment.

Disappointing
This hotel is listed as 4 star, it may have 4 star facilities but it is probably the most disappointing 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was stark bland, white - I felt like I was in an operating theatre, no art work on the walls, no kettle or tea/coffee facilities, no where to put toiletries in the bathroom, the hotel provided toiletries were in a large dispenser just like Travelodge or Premier Inn - hardly what you expect from a 4 star. The rooms were supposed to be mountain or courtyard view. Our view was of the entrance to the underground car park. The beds were comfortable. The safe was too small to put in an SLR camera or a tablet. Breakfast was pretty awful. For a country know for cheese and meats the selection was rubbish, watered down juices, burned scrammed eggs, open tinned fruits in large bowls, no presentation just thrown out....The swimming pool has a nice setting (not heated was bracing in May) with a nice back drop of the mountains. Check out time is 10am, I've never come across a 4 star hotel with a check out prior to noon! I did manage to get the 10 extending to noon after a significant amount of discussion with the reception staff. The church opposite the hotel likes to ring its bells early in the morning. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE

The hotel was really relaxing and enjoyable place for our holiday. The location was perfect as well as service. The hotel rooms very nice and clean, there is also a very good spa. The garden with swimming pool area looks very nice and it's well done. We are happy to recommend that hotel if you appreciate good quality for your upcoming holidays.

An honest opinion ...
If you are going to this hotel for the spa & pool area you will not be disappointed as I could not fault either of these.Do however check with the spa before you confirm your dates as a lot of the treatments are only available on certain days. However if you like a comfortable bed forget it! I felt like Fred Flintstone sleeping on a bed of rock with a boulder as a pillow!!The view was also dissapionting that of a car park! When you book a superior room you do not expect that view when we asked to move we were told the hotel was full.Aparently there are superior rooms with views of the mountains so best check that also before you travel. The saving grace was that after a bad nights sleep you did get an incredibly fantastic breakfast. In summery if you are not planning to sleep & don't care about views then go for it.

The hotel is in good condition, fairly new looking, and clean. We paid extra for a superior room for our 4 night stay, which had a view (over the bus station) of the hills. Our room was far too hot however, and no matter how long we left the Air Conditioning turned on at 18degrees, it never got below 25. I complained about this on the second day, where the staff at reception reset a computer in the reception area, and said it should fix the problem. It didn't. I complained 5 more times over the next 2 days, each time asking for a fan to be brought to our room- and each time I was told it would be done- nothing happened- no fan. Eventually one of the receptionists admitted the hotel didn't actually have any fans (no mention of this on the previous 3 days, no apology, and no attempt to offer any alternatives). They also said the master Air Conditioning temperature was set by reception, and the units in the rooms could only vary that temperature by a small amount. They refused to accept that our room was too hot, and refused to change the master temperature (presumably as lower temperatures cost more to achieve). Even when i pointed out that it was colder in the hallway outside our room than inside our bedroom, nothing was done. In short, the building was nice, and the staff were generally attentive, but unable, unwilling, or uncaring enough to do anything about what should have been a minor problem. We were glad to leave, and won't be back.
