This hotel is very old and dated, no wifi, only in reception, room filthy, black mold in bathrooms and vomit in bath! none of the staff helpful if you complain the pretend they don't speak English ( apart from when they want your cash deposit) they cater for under 30 Russian gests so if you are looking for an 18-30 type Russian holiday this is what you get in 22 trips to Thailand this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, it is only one up from backpacker dorm rooms but dirtier, Expedia should not be marketing the APK properties they are not even one star stay here at your peril.

Room wasn't cleaned properly. Bed was like sleeping on cement. No poolside bar as advertised. Pool furniture old and broken. Both pools looked like they weren't cleaned regularly, especially rooftop pool. TV didn't have clear reception.

Not the best
The shower was slow, we had large bugs in our room, our air con leaked water and we had to ask for an extra towel as they didn't fix it while we were there (6 nights). There was no pool bar that was advertised. I took my children to show how great the place was only to be disappointed. We were placed on separate floors and the rooms were VERY dated. Wasn't worth the money we paid.

truly not happy with the APK group as I had make full payment for APK resort & spa BUT upon arrival arrange us stay at APK resort very far from jungceylon, cos coming with family (had children & elderly) really not convenience and indirectly increase my expense (transfer back to hotel from jungceylon - tuk tuk price go up 300-800 baht .... crazy)

Mediocre hotel close to beach
Stayed for two nights in February. Staff were not especially welcoming or friendly (oftentimes it would take us several minutes to get their attention and when we did they appeared annoyed) but they knew the area well and were helpful at times. Overall area around the hotel is busy so at night noise can be heard from the street in your room. The rooms look nothing like the picture and are not worth the price. However, compared to the rest of the Patong area, APK may be a nicer option. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing beach trip at a nice hotel and near a remote beach, I would stay away from the Patong Beach area and not recommend APK Resort and Spa.

Not the same Hotel as picture
Well where to start. The picture of the Hotel with the roof top pool that I thought we were staying in. Not to be, our roof top was building material that looked like it had been there since the place had been built and was not capable of being walked on let alone swimming. The pictures of the room were similar, but not as new as the pictures, the TV in the lounge area was none existent, not like your picture. There was a bracket for the TV and a DVD player sitting by it’s self on a bench top and when I asked reception they told me that there was only meant to be one TV in the bedroom area, but the photo I took (that I can send you if you like) shows there should be a TV there. The TV reception was very snowy on the TV that we did have, so watching a DVD might of been a good option. The spare bed that my son was meant to sleep in has a real big stain on the sheet and mattress protector we asked for it to be changed and it was, but he didn’t want to sleep in it after that so he slept on it with a towel over himself “not ideal”. Reception staff not friendly never smiled and on New Years night I rang them 3 times to ask them if they could ask the people in the next room to be quiet as it was now 4am and they were singing and banging the furniture and we had to get up at 6am to fly out. Yes I know it was New Years but they should of at least tried to quiten them down, but I rang 3 times and no one even answered the phone. Breakfast staff didn’t know was they were serving.

I had read some reviews after I booked this and was concerned that I may have picked a dud. How wrong was I, great location, fab shower, clean rooms, and great staff quickest check in ever.

We went for honeymoon to phuket and booked over hotels.com.reaching there we were greted properly and shown to our room.the room was small but ok.however the room lacked a flat screen and also only 2-3 English channels with the broadcasting quality very poor.they provided no toothbrush or toothpaste to us for which I had to go out to buy it. breakfast was no good.very few options and they had no Muslim menu at all.the taste was also not so good of the American breakfast. But location is good and if you can plan to eat outside it is a good option as there are many Muslim and other country eateries nearby.but at the price provided by hotels.com it is indeed a good choice.

I'm kinda disappointed this time as usually I used to stay in APK Resort & Spa for every time my visit to Phuket, at least 3-4 times a year. And this time 13-17 April, I invited a group of my friend around 17-18 ppl which all booked under APK. Unfortunately, the rooms is overbooked and few rooms has to moved to The Three APK which is 10-15minutes away by walking distance ( Of course the location is far from Bangla Road compare to the original hotel we've booked ). There's no compliment for the guest even no one inform us in advance and caused inconvenience to us but the front desk ( forgotten the name ) are very friendly and patient assist in check in and understand she can't do anything since it's overbooked but at least she ordered a bottle of beer as compliment to me. It's just about customer service even just a bottle of beer.

don't believe all the reviews
despite the many negative reviews I had no problems. yes, there are 2 or 3 different apk hotels that can cause confusion, but that it the punters fault, not the hotel. I stayed at the resort and spa, and had the room with the spa on the balcony. room 5701 to be exact. the room was clean, and we'll appointed. No it's not 5 star, but it never claimed to be. my only fault was the toilet didn't self fill. But after mentioning it to staff it was fixed immediately and the water pressure was fixed as well. the breakfast is average but ok, and it's in the restaurant near the main road. there is a 1000 baht deposit. But that's not a huge issue. I would say the hotel is more suited to family's or couples rather than singles, but I could be wrong. I enjoyed the hotel and would stay again. I also found the staff very friendly and their English was pretty good. much better than my thai ;-)

Would not book again.
I wouldn't recommend staying here. Check-in was not quick or easy, at first they couldn't find my already paid for booking. As we were early to check in we expected to wait a bit. Upon check in time it seems they had misplaced our passport copies and all documents pertaining to our room. The room itself was very dirty with black handprints on all the walls and mirrors and the shower is so close to the toilet (no curtain or sliding door) that the whole bathroom would get water everywhere. If you are above 5' 2" you will have a difficult time washing yourself as the shower head is too low. The stairwell had a consistent scent of urine everytime we took it. Upon checkout they had misplaced our documents again (room deposit). We almost booked another hotel as soon as we arrived due to the cleanliness of the room, I see why they don't do any refunds. It is close to the walking strip where all the bars are as well as the beach. Apparently there are 3 diff APK hotels. Maybe this one was the odd one out.

Pictures aren't what they seem
We saw the pictures online and we were excited to be there. Though the pictures aren't what they seemed, the room was always clean. Hot new towels everyday and made up beds. We only wish the pillows were lower so if you don't like high pillows bring your own. The shower pressure was not good and the water kept switching from hot to cold - which was the worst. The hotel location was perfect. 5-10mim walk to Patong beach and the downstairs restaurant served great food and at night the live music ended our nights perfectly. The hotel is also about 3 blocks from the fresh market and at night it was a variety of food tents where you could eat fresh seafood or grab a drink. The hotel is also a 7-10min walk to Bangla Road for people who enjoy the night life. Overall, if the hotel fixes their shower, we would love to come back!

Great value for money!!
It's a good hotel, nice and clean room was super tidy with a big bed!! It's in a good spot not to far from the action but far enough not to be in the middle of it all. Pool was pretty good too! Don't expect the Taj Mahal it's basic but that what you paying for so Many people stay in these places spend a small amount on accom and then leave scathing Reveiws because it aiint the Hilton "there havin a bubble".. It's great value for money I would stay they again.

I booked for 2 days and thought if u like it I would stay more but as soon I finish my 2 days I run , very bad staff very rude , and the toilet was like water everywhere I asked them to change my room or look at the water everywhere and water was dirty how am I going to have showe they said ok u send u some one but they didn't, and again call someone came then said ok I come back in 5 but nothing .

1st of all i have stayed in many hotels in patong and this was by far one of the worst runs I have stayed at and i wouldn't recommend anyone australian to stay there. reception was nice on arrival but when they realized we were not Russian they became quite rude and didn't make us feel very welcome. we were finally taken to our rooms but they tried to put us in a down graded room to what we booked , after complaining and refusing to be placed in a sub standard room , I would more call a sardine can we were told that was the best they could provide until tomorrow then we would be provided with our correct rooms as they had over booked! after finally getting the correct room the next day it was yet another disappointment , the rooms looked nothing like the pictures and we had a giant storm water drain just out side our hotel wing and the smell was worse then the typical patong smell when it rains but on a constant basis . the hotel was basically all Russian guests and they kinda take over the hotel pools and area making it hard for other guest to enjoy there stay. about the only thing going for it was the nice cleaners that actually smiled unlike the rest of the staff and the location is good close to the mall , overall about 2/5

Tired and in need of renovations.
Pool out of order for at least 5 days. Booked for 18 days, left after 6. Non refundable, but not worth staying. Tv not working. Kettle / Jug not working. Informed staff, no action taken. Mattress extremely hard. Dried blood on wall in shower. One staff member too busy looking at Facebook to listen to my complaint about the TV. Other staff were more friendly. To be fair the rates were cheap, but I expected a bit more.

I am not a complainer. We are a very simple couple that understands you get what you pay for. We stayed at this hotel in 2014 and things were alot better. The rooms were brighter and they didnt have ants. I remember our first stay the tub was very inviting...not this time. You would only want to shower and get out. The ants were crawling everywhere at night, we made it a point not to eat in the room. The restaurant connected to the hotel is reasonably priced and they accept credit cards which most places dont or try to hit you with a surcharge. If you are the type that is looking to drop your bags and just go party this is the place for you. If you want some romance included in your vacay...dont stay here.

We stayed at the APK for 1 week, on our arrival they lost one of our room bookings and the girl at the front desk was hopeless! The next morning another lady was on reception and she fixed everything straight away! From then on everything was amazing! Food was great, it's an amazing location! Wifi was great everywhere we went! Overal a great budget hotel!!

Original booking was for APK Resort & Spa, but when we arrived we were told that the hotel was full despite the fact that we had booked a month prior. We wrre a bit disappointed but the receptionist told us that they would move us to another hotel 5 minutes away and upgrade our room. (Upgrade = jacuzzi). We were taken to APK Resort (no Spa) and checked in there. Very warm & friendly welcome from Pim at the front desk - she soon became our favourite! Very helpful. Overall a great stay, comfortable room and bed, very nice staff. Only downside of the entire stay was the construction taking place right outside - disturbed us a few times. Also free WiFi only available in the lobby area and not on the 7th floor where we stayed. Was not a big problem since we were there to relax and switch off, which we did! Turned out that the move from the original hotel we booked was a great move! We were a little further away from the constant noise and bustling and music in the busy area closer to Bangla Rd. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable but not pricey hotel stay! Close enough to walk to Patong Beach, Bangla Road, Banzaan Market, Jungcelon Mall...

There's better out there
Location is good if you want to be close to Bangala Road. Patong Beach is a 10 min walk. Room was on the smaller side. They required a 1000 THB deposit at check in. At check out they actually check your room for damages. We were fine but it's something to watch for. WiFi is there but be sure to confirm that in-room WiFi will be free. We requested a printout of two boarding passes but they refused. Hotel tours and taxi are more expensive so look around before you book.

The hotel itself was great, staff were awesome. However on the night of our check in we had a problem regarding our booking. The receptionist was very rude and didn't have any people skills. We were given a room at their other hotel for the night and came back the following morning for our room. The rest of our stay was great without any problems. It's a great location, close to everything!

All the hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull. The location of the hotel is very strategic. Near to beach, shopping mall and shops lot. Highly recommended. The rooftop view also nice. Can view sunset.

Perfect base in Patong
Love APK. This was my second stay this year. Affordable, nearby to Bangla and shopping, great buffet breakfast, friendly staff, great tour desk, basic and well laid out clean rooms. Will absolutely stay again.

Great place to stay
Great location, within walking distance to beach, shopping centre and Bangla road. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pool and deck chairs on room are a nice. Staff are friendly, and very helpful. Have stayed here 4 times now and will continue to use this hotel.
