Bugs are all over the room. Spent $68 on lunch and had a hard time eating on my lap on my pool chair so I went to a table for 10 minutes and management collected everything on my pool chair and I lost my chair. She said you are not allowed to leave your pool chair. I wanted to go take a swim and this was not allowed either as they took my stuff. She said these are the rules. You cannot leave your chair. Bugs were crawling on my bed and we saw cockroach next to window where you order food. Our stay was 5 days and we did not have housekeeping for 4 days. No garbage emptied as a result bugs everywhere. Flies fly all over your body at the pool. Resort is from the 1950s and never updated.

I apologize that your items were removed from your pool chair, we strive to provide a fun filled poolside environment with space for everyone. We work closely with our partner exterminator to address any issues we or our guests encounter. If you had made us aware, at the very least we would have offered you another villa. As a rental guest, we provide a daily refresh housekeeeping service and enter the villa unless you placed a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Wonderful Family atmosphere. Loved Genevieve in activities. Loved free chair massages. Loved ordering food from splash on my phone for poolside service. Love Jerry who have tennis lessons. Wish there were pickleball lines on all the courts. Wish my drink order on my phone would have worked like the food orders.

We had a wonderful afternoon by the pool with lunch & cocktails. Staff helpful. Spa services wonderful. Only negative was bedroom on the front of the resort (road side) was noisy at bedtime & early morning.

The property is very dated. Our room was unacceptable. The room smelled like it was sealed since 1980, dated and worn cabinetry. Filthy bathtub and shower. We requested a refund and Tara at the desk was horrible to deal with. She was rude and hard to deal with. The grounds look nice and are kept up okay. Will not return.

The grounds are nice, the rooms need to be updated, they are dark and the beds are pretty uncomfortable with depression areas in the mid bed. I had a backache after the first night, after the second night my back was quite sore. I told the front desk and they did nothing.

The view from the upstairs was amazing. Having all the comforts of home and the mid-century resort feel was the perfect escape. You’re very close to city, but yet a world away.

Great location walk to Old Town (.75 mile) walk to Phoenician (.25 mile), nice hot tub, heated pool on site bar. Cleaning of room was a roll of the dice as english communication was very limited. Room was large with 2nd bedroom upstairs, kitchen, and 1 bathroom. Front desk was very accommodating, and was massage and spa staff. Restaurants to try Morley and Cotton, Olive and Ivy and Tommy Vs Goid trip over all.

Rooms have large jetted tubs, which is why I chose this location. Rooms do not have enough hot water to fill said bath. When I asked front desk their response was “just wait a little bit.” I waited an hour and then gave up. Couldn’t even take a shower. Wound up having to book another hotel to be able to shower. You can feel this property’s frugality in its aged decor and rooms. Perhaps a little too frugal for guests

Roomy, comfortable, but a tad musty
The room was very spacious, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The only negative is that the room had a bit of a musty smell. However, you quickly became used to it and overall the experience was very nice.

It was nice to have a bigger space, but the place felt old. The property was pretty, but the unit was dated. It took a long time checking in, it was not quick like a traditional hotel or resort. Overall I would not stay here again.

I would highly recommend the Camelback Resort for its value, location, and customer service. The grounds were clean and the staff was amazing and very friendly. The cost was very fair for everything the resort offers. I love all the options for the kids to do like tennis, pool, mini golf, volleyball, movies, etc. The decor in the room is a bit dated, but we didn't mind cause it was clean and served our purpose perfectly. The room with the mini kitchen was great. Overall, we highly recommend the Scottsdale Camelback Resort to families with kids. We loved our stay. Thank you Camelback Resort! We will be back.
