Pros: Property was absolutely beautiful! Loved the cliffs/hikes that were right on the property. Pool area was also beautiful and well taken care of. Everyone on staff was very helpful.
Cons: The $39 daily resort fee was not made clear prior to our trip. Perhaps it was in fine print somewhere, but it came as a surprise to me. It would have likely affected my decision of where to stay, as others had that information posted more clearly if there was a daily fee. So that felt like a scam.
The website event calendar indicated there would be poolside activities for kids on the weekend days. We had planned our pool days for then specifically because it would be fun to have activities on site to break up the day. When we asked about it, we were told it was only available during peak season. Compared with other resorts we had stayed at, the lack of onsite activities was very noticeable. Usually there are things for the kids and maybe something at night for adults.
Also… Pullout couch was absolutely not usable; the springs were so noticeable, I could feel them poking up as I was unfolding it. For our family of five, we were counting on that. My husband tried taking one for the team and sleeping on it one night, and woke up with horrible back pain. My son was more comfortable on a blanket on the floor. Additionally, the “queen beds” were actually double beds. A tight squeeze for my husband and I.
