The property is gorgeous. Pools are fantastic. What didn’t go well was the lack of security monitoring the pre-teens playing tag and running laps around the 4th floor until at least 11 PM. Did not care for being woke up at 6 AM to a grounds maintenance staff meeting under our 3rd floor balcony, with a closed door, complete with laughter and loud voices. Also being gone for 7 hours during the day and no maid service being completed and was very much needed. What went right? Extremely friendly and helpful desk staff upon check in.

This property is nice…however the adult pool and gym are way too small for the amount of people checked in. The gym could use a good cleaning as there were many dust bunnies. Overall, the property itself is nice. The pickleball courts were well kept as were the overall grounds.

Hotel staff were great. Food and accommodations were subpar at best. Rooms were nothing special - more motel style. Pools were nice but food was limited to typical American-style-nutritionally poor options at not great prices for families who are looking for convenience when spending a few hours by the pool. This property is a gem, but boy does it need to be polished! The location is great for daily hikes. But LOTS of deferred maintenance and seems understaffed. Also, we were charged $39 night "Hotel fee". We were told it included the family water area, pickleball courts and driving range. Nothing we used or was informed of when I booked and could not be refused. If I can't decline it, it is a room charge and shouldn't be a surprise at checkout. Probably will choose somewhere else next time.,

Property is kind of old and dated. Wall paper coming off the walls, carpet peeling up dirty bathrooms. Parking is horrible. Cranes and excavators in front of our room making parking almost impossible.

Loved property. Would go again but for one issue. Billing. Charge on invoice that I’m being billed for that is not mine and in talking to front desk - was told I’d have to call back so they can pull receipts and research issue. Need to talk with another group and she cannot help me. This is already second call. Left message too. Never went to gift shop and have almost 40.00 charge from there. Also, never told about resort fee at beginning of stay after i asked about additional charges. Third call to be made by me tomorrow and we will see if remains on me to get resolved. There are also pending charges on my credit card that I’m hoping fall off so I have not even asked about those yet. Moral - check your final invoices!

Attention to detail in room is lacking. Staff are not particularly helpful. Room layout and functionality is awkward. Not told would be by outside generator and over parking lot by dumpsters, bathroom and doors to main area recently painted and did not close. Thermostat does not work well. Sliding door to bedroom stuck a lot and could be fire hazard. Parking lot is dangerous to walk in, especially at night.

This is a great family property. So many pools for the kids. Take advantage of the hiking trails near the golf course. Comfortable beds and loved having the bathroom split and super family friendly with the extra living space. Only complaints is the AC didn’t seem to work very well to get really cold and the WiFi is very slow.

The hills were tough but i enjoyed it. I didn't think the staff was friendly at all. They answered questions but did not volunteer any information about the property to my family. Lots of pools but i didnt see any other indoor activities. I loved the access to hiking and the gym was pretty convenient

Pros: Property was absolutely beautiful! Loved the cliffs/hikes that were right on the property. Pool area was also beautiful and well taken care of. Everyone on staff was very helpful. Cons: The $39 daily resort fee was not made clear prior to our trip. Perhaps it was in fine print somewhere, but it came as a surprise to me. It would have likely affected my decision of where to stay, as others had that information posted more clearly if there was a daily fee. So that felt like a scam. The website event calendar indicated there would be poolside activities for kids on the weekend days. We had planned our pool days for then specifically because it would be fun to have activities on site to break up the day. When we asked about it, we were told it was only available during peak season. Compared with other resorts we had stayed at, the lack of onsite activities was very noticeable. Usually there are things for the kids and maybe something at night for adults. Also… Pullout couch was absolutely not usable; the springs were so noticeable, I could feel them poking up as I was unfolding it. For our family of five, we were counting on that. My husband tried taking one for the team and sleeping on it one night, and woke up with horrible back pain. My son was more comfortable on a blanket on the floor. Additionally, the “queen beds” were actually double beds. A tight squeeze for my husband and I.

We had an awesome view from our room. Although the room was dated it was very nice. We needed support for our disabled son, and it was not helpful enough which was a little frustrating since I had asked for that at the time of reservations. Not enough support for trash, or cleaning, like soap and sponges to wipe off tables, but the beds and linens were terrific!

If yo arrive at night, the lobby is not easy to find and not right when you enter. There's 2 entrances and one which we found is not near the lobby and we had to drive around looking for the lobby. Also the lighting is poor and very dark and parking can be hard to find.

I injured my knee here and the staff was so accommodating! Driving us to and from the pool area as well as to and from the lobby. Super friendly pool staff as well. The only problem we had was with the male barista at Starbucks, he was a bit rude and impatient.

The property is quite dated. Our toilet was clogged when we arrived and we ended up calling for maintenance to come all 3 days of our trip. I wish they would’ve discovered the clog before we checked into our room. It was a pain and we were reluctant to use the toilet for fear it would get clogged again. We also found a cockroach in our room on the second day of our stay. The parking situation was absolutely ridiculous. Our unit was down a narrow dead end road with parking on one side. If you ventured down that road to find parking and none was available there was a small turnaround point at the end of the dead end road. Each night, cars would take up both spots in the “turnaround” area so you’d have to back up the cliff with a blind spot to get out of the street to go look for alternate parking. It was an absolute fiasco. Walking the cliff to our hotel room was quite a workout. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Nice location for what i wanted to do - hiking. lots of pools and hot tubs, so i was quite happy about these things. i had paid for a poolside room, which it kind of was but i was also in the corner which felt like the basement cave like area. my window faced a dirt wall and there were cars parked directly above it. i couldn’t open my shades at all. the room was dark because of this and felt a bit dingy. the staff was really good. i don’t think i would book this hotel through Expedia again as i think that is why i was given the crappy room.
