Hotel in transition

Posted 06-Feb-2016
Pros: Comfortable rooms. Helpful staff.
Cons: Exterior facelift and exterior lighting near doors and around stairways.
Location: Close to I-17 and Highway 101, and just north of Bell Road a major east-west street. Convenience store across the street.
We booked this hotel based on on-line information. It is apparently transitioning away from being a Comfort Inn hotel, as the signage was taken down but Comfort Inn supplies were still being used. Rooms were clean and comfortable, lobby was welcoming. Hot breakfast available most days with an affordable $5 fee. Other restaurants were a few blocks away - OK if you are driving there but inconvenient if not. The front desk ladies were helpful when there was a bit of a glitch at check-in with Expedia notification with the hotel.

Most 3 star hotels don't have breakfast. This one has breakfast. I love food so I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Arizona

Nice hotel with excellent staff.

Posted 30-Jan-2016
Pros: Friendly staff, neat and clean
Cons: The carpet in some of the rooms could be replaced.
I arrived at the hotel at noon, three hours before check-in. I had gotten up at 2 a.m. to take friends to the Los Angeles airport, then headed to Phoenix. The front desk clerk was very helpful in finding a room and getting me checked in early. The room was neat and clean, but the carpet was old and in need of replacing, but clean. I felt that they went out of the way to make sure I was taken care of..

Old and run down

Posted 30-Jan-2016
The 1st rooms closet door was broken and off. Toilet was dirty. 2nd room smelled like cigarette smoke in a non smoking hotel. Broken door and falling apart hanging wallpaper.blood stains on the carpet. Run you will find motel 6s in better condition.

everything that could go wrong, did!!!!!!

Posted 29-Jan-2016
Pros: Nice photos of pool, nothing else...
Cons: Everything
Location: Horrible location, would'nt go to nearby places.
After flying for 6 hours, waiting to get car rental, then traveling 40 minutes to hotel thru horrible neighborhood we arrive to find out expedia never booked our rooms!!!!! Clerk said WE had to call expedia & straighten it out. After waiting for expedia to pick up for over 10 minutes they had to confirm with hotel & we had to wait for fax only to find out they only confirmed 1 room when we had booked 2. Again WE had to call expedia back, this time it took even longer. An hour later finally we had our rooms.Oh, I forgot to mention that we had 2 small children with us....Rooms were very old & run down..I guess because it was only an old converted "Comfort Inn". You can change the name & take really good pictures but It was a horrible place. Next day when we returned from dinner keys didn't work. Clerk {Nasty} said that would probably happen every day. So they expected us to go to lobby, toting 2 kids, every night to re-activate our keys? Thats because it's a flop house for very seedy caracters that don't stay longer than a night? Had words with clerk{Very Nasty by now} threatened to call police on us. Called expedia & left next day. I don't know who was to blame more, hotel or expedia. Won't use either again...
