La Quinta in Scottsdale is a hidden gem. The price was affordable, and the property is a short drive from shopping, restaurants and medical facilities. Customer service was excellent - the gentleman who checked me in when above and beyond. There’s plenty of free parking, and the room was exceptionally clean.

Construction going on with the adjacent on-ramp for 101. The TV and fridge didn’t work, and the bathtub didn’t drain ver well. When brought up to management they took note, said their maintenance guy would “get on it” the next day, but he didn’t.

The room and hotel has a new "modern look." The room was very spacious and the grounds were lovely. The stopper in the bathroom sink was broken and, although we complained, noone seemed to be interested in fixing it.

Nice area in Scottsdale. I was not expecting each day during my stay to have the hallways and my room smell of marijuana due to other guests. Staff was very nice and accommodating but the smell of marijuana in my room was not pleasant.

This place is in a safe area and parking was great! The pool was quiet (March)! Clean room!!! Although it is an older hotel, upkeep is slow going! Breakfast was ok! (Only hard boiled eggs) & sausage both days!

Perfectly clean, friendly, decent facility Pool could have been warmer Area of improvement is in the quality of food provided for breakfast. It could have been better. Ex 1: If a guest is going to take the time and effort to make a lovely large fresh Belgium waffle don’t offer crap artificially flavored ‘syrup’. Ex 2: When providing yogurt, maybe get the real stuff. Not the low quality artificially thickened and high fructose corn syrup filled garbage.

Found a live cockroach on my toothbrush! Standing water in the shower! Spoke with the manager about these issues (even brought her the cockroach I smashed) and she didn’t seem to be bothered by it.

I apologize that you felt we weren't bothered about our issues. We did have our pest control company come to inspect the room and he did not find any activity at the time. We had him to preventative spray just in case. Maintenance was notified of your shower and was fixed. We appreciate your feedback.

They defintely have issues with their doors. Tricky to get in the building, tricky opening the room door, and damn near impossible to open the door to the fitness room. The fitness room is so small that no more than two people can be inside at a time. I would strongly recommend going out for breakfast. Every morning, it was like the UN was making a food drop in war zone. Tons of people crowded around the few scraps that they put out for you. Maybe I just was here at a bad time of year (spring training), but this hotel is way overpriced for what it is.

This was our first stay at a La Quinta and we were thrilled! It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Ideally we would prefer a room with two queen beds, but made the two doubles work! Thanks for a lovely stay and a delicious continental breakfast!
