Not the best choice

Posted 27-Mar-2017
Pros: Nothing.
Location: Although it is near airport, it is not near to restaurants or stores.
This hotel is old and needs upgrades. It is in a isolated area near airport. There is no restaurants nearby. I stayed there because of the free shuttle service. I should have stayed elsewhere and taken an Uber cab. I have stayed at other hotels for this price that are much nicer.

Very outdated facility

Two positive things about this hotel: cheap and close to the airport, which is why we chose it knowing it was a budget hotel. And it better be cheap for the poor quality in furnishings, amenities and odors. Our door lock/handle didn't work, the shower wouldn't shut off, and the sink didn't drain. At all. The decor is from the 70s and the smell was quite pungent. I will say that we didnt see any critters, but I would recommend that you spend a few more bucks and stay elsewhere.

Days Inn - critters!

Posted 19-Mar-2017
Pros: They offered a free shuttle to the airport, that we could have used to find a special restaurant that we wanted to go to and was the closest!
Cons: Fumigate the issue of bedbugs in room 116 and others as needed. Improve the internet connections
Location: Very close to airport and free shuttle.
Shortly post check in our grandkids noticed a couple of bugs on the wall. I took a picture but we could not access the internet (separate issue). As I went to the office and get the internet checked I logged on to the free PC in the office to print boarding passes for our grand children's flight. I googled the picture and found out they were bedbugs, returned to advise my spouse and we went back to the office to get another room or refund. They had no vacancies. After some verbal threats to report them to the health department they issued a cancellation receipt. And we left in search of another place. Called Expedia the next day and a refund was issued, as the manager had issued a paper with cancellation number.

The location of his hotel was in a shady area.

Pros: Nothing ABSOLUTELY nothing and would not reccommend this to anyone every until severe CHANGES are made.
Cons: Everything!!!!!
Location: I addressed this issue in a previous box above.
My daughter's experience was quite unusual. There were cigarette burns on the spread our daughter had to sleep on top of the spred/comforter because the sheets were probably not clean either. The bathtub was blackish gray. The fan ran with little use for the air conditioner. I moved her to a better hotel so she could feel safe in her environment. If making new renovations PLEASE complete the work before you allow people to stay. The location of the hotel had ladies of the street walking to score and make money. NOT cool at all.

Scary hotel and location

Posted 17-Mar-2017
Check in was slow, rooms were outdated. Bathroom window was wide open and would not lock. Bugs flying around. Curtains would not close so the room was bright. Our second room, we had to shoulder check the door to get it open, bed was hard. Will never go back.

Close to Airport w/Shuttle,Ok in a Pinch

Posted 16-Mar-2017
Pros: see above
Cons: Paint job. Mattresses could be a bit firmer for our tastes, but, hey...we were burnt out, slept like a baby anyway!
Location: Close to PHX.Nothing to do nearby.Unless you have a car or walk about 15 minutes to Phoenix's latest and greatest Light Rail Line. We loved it! $1
Up at 5am, flights canceled, long and packed to the gills plane. Needed place to flop, get some winks for a few hours. DaysInn free shuttle, breakfast, great staff, pool small (Big one in photo closed years ago). A bit run down, but clean and close to transit and PHX. Sweet, helpful staff. yummy oatmeal and Activa Yogurt. $97 best price around. Good in a pinch for those on budget.

Absolute discusting! Stay away!

Posted 09-Mar-2017
Driving up there were druggies on the street. That was first impression. Curtains and doors were filthy. Went in room there was a big burn on the rug from an iron.you can tell this is very run down. I don't know how it still has the Wyndham name associated with it. I would not have stayed there if we had a way of getting somewhere else. The beds were dirty and worn right out.

Very Disappointing

Posted 09-Mar-2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Neighborhood is sketchy at best but it cleaned up about 2 blocks down the road. Closest restaurant was about 1 mile away. Airport is about 5 mins away
Was not impressed at all, the sign on the road said all new rooms but the only thing new was the TV. When I first walked up to my room door and tried to open it I found the lock was separating from the door almost like someone had broken into the room before which was very disturbing in itself due to the sketchy neighborhood the hotel is located in. The room was extremely out dated, the bed was like a taco shell and all the white plastic had yellow staining (the kind from years of use). The phone was sticky and had a very funny smell to it. I've stayed at other Days Inn locations but this was by far the worst, could not wait to get out of there the next morning. The photos shown we somewhat misleading as the room did not look modern at all.

Very bad experience. This motel needs a lot of work to get it up to code.
