The beach was right in front of us..perfect...the only thing was that when the maid came into clean we didn't get replacement towels until about 5:00...had to use hand towel to dry off as that was all they left us...two days of that. Before we took the room, I don't think they did a thorough job as there was all kinds of candy in bags that were left in the middle drawer of the desk...we just left them there. Hopefully, they clean that out for the next guests.

Large king bed suite with lovely balcony next to babbling brook. Infinity pool and jacuzzi hot tub 30 feet away. Beautiful landscaping and beach. Two restaurants, deli, and beach bar and grille, plus several shops and general store. Taxi and car rental service on site.
BUT.. When we arrived (tired) we had to wait 1/2 hour for someone to take us to our room (located at top of large hill, so we needed a golf cart to transport our luggage). Bedside lamp did not work - called mgmt., but no one ever showed up. Balcony doors out of align; very difficult to open and I couldn't even pull them together close enough to lock. Toilet clogged up on Tuesday - called mgmt., but no one showed so we spent an hour pouring buckets of water in toilet (no plunger in bathroom). Finally fixed it, but clogged again the next day. After the third clog, called again - this time someone did arrive and fixed the problem. "Concierge" was very aggressive in efforts to sell time-share (which we did not know they offered and had no interest) - stopped people walking through the property or on the beach, even called our room one night. Construction going on in several locations; woke up to jack hammers taking up tile one morning. Even with 4 eating facilities, options were limited because each restaurant was only open for certain meals and times.
Divi is certainly one of the most attractive resorts, so I would recommend it, but management did not meet my expectations for this kind of resort.
The hotel is older, but if you like to relax it's the place to be. They have some activities planned if you want to partake or you can go on your own. The activities director has a list of the recommended places to fulfill your wishes. There are boat trips, plane trips, shopping trips and trips to other islands. We enjoyed a trip to Pinel Island for the day, shopping in Phillipsburg, renting a car makes getting around easy (but the drivers and parking are crazy). The French side of island is also to be enjoyed (just have to remember that some of the shops there close at 2:00 and open again about 4:00). The food is great allover the island.
