Everything about this hotel is marvellous ,from check in and to check out .suite was very comfortable , with small kitchen which was most useful and fridge The beds are so comfortable with the best linen.This was our 5th visit to this hotel and we look forward to returning .The hotel is located on a beautiful white sandy beach and perfect swimming in the sea .If you want a relaxing beach holiday this is a gem and perfect ,All the employees are so kind & courteous and nothing is too much trouble for them .Reservations gave us the suite we requested which was excellent .The cleaner Nattachet in our suite due to a mistake by myself found an envelope on the floor containing a large amount of money it was not touched this is a testement to the hotel and his personal honesty.The breakfast was very good with lots of choice ,the restaurant also served wonderful meals .i can highly recommend this hotel . .

The Kantary Beach Hotel is quite a 15-20 minute drive north of Khao Lak. As it turned out we were quite happy with that, as Khao Lak is a typical busy tourist town, lacking in any great character. The Hotel did offer regular minibus transfers to and from Khao Lak, on chargeable basis, but we never fealt the need to visit Khao Lak. Instead we spent a few days relaxing by the Hotel pools, and strolling along the beautiful Coconut Beach. We did sample the Hotel restaurant on our first evening, but found it expensive and lacking in atmosphere, compared to what we had experienced elsewhere in Thailand. For others evening dinners we preferred to walk along the beach to a small selection of on the beach local restaurants, where we dined in candlelight as the waves gently rolled in. The local food was delicious and drinks reasonably priced. Our Hotel suite was very spacious and well appointed. Overall a nice place to stay with some good value dining within easy walking distance along the beach.

The villa's were excellent and the perfect size for two people. Very handy for the beach, pools, restaurants etc. Very impressed they were cleaned every day by courteous and friendly staff.

Was only at this location for one night. Great beach, pools, villa was nice with outdoor shower. But.. tried one of their restaurants for dinner, on property and was very disappointed!! I ordered shrimp and it was smelly and I sent it back. Went down the beach a short way to find a fun place for food and drink.

Apartment Style
Great hotel for those who like to be out of the way, nothing much to walk to so 3 nights was enough fo me personally. My apartment 6210 was right up near the entrance so lovely and quiet. Being on end I had extra windows giving extra light. Generous in size plus large balcony. Happy Hour at Otters Bar is very pleasant and good value, great for watching the sunset. Excellent staff too.

Very nice and wonderful breakfast
The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was good. The staff was very hard to understand. It was hot in the (outdoor) restaurant — tip: sit under a fan! We were transferring to a dive boat so did not use the beach or the massage though both look good. The visibility for snorkeling was nil, unfortunately, though there were great tide pools.

Good but could be better
We booked the hotel in the belief it was adults only, sadly discovering when it was too late to cancel that children are allowed. There were quite a lot of children who were ill mannered, lacking table manners, thoroughly spoilt, loud and noisy, with no parental control, so we weren't happy bunnies. The villa was spacious and well equipped, although other furniture was a tad frayed at the edges and the patio furniture needed a good pressure wash. The villa was ideally located being close to the beach and restaurants, it was quiet and very private and we overlooked trees that were full of birds, squirrels, lizards so it was very interesting. The outdoor shower was a bonus. Pool areas were clean and well maintained and the staff pleasant. However, there were notices banning nappy-wearing babies but this wasn't policed. The shuttle bus worked well into town with a charge of 100Bhats each way. The hotel Is a bit isolated with just one restaurant, which is excellent, close by and where we ate most of the time, so a bike or car would be handy, otherwise use the shuttle bus. We had a great 10 days holiday but wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. Smoking throughout the hotel should be introduced.

Wonderful hotel on a beautiful beach
Wonderful hotel in a beautiful beach . this was our fourth visit here and we were greeted like old friends and offered a cold drink and towel . We were so pleased to be offered our favourite suite .all the employees we met were always most courteous and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them .This made our stay so pleasant.very comfortable beds with premium bedding and good air conditioning.Frequent shuttle bus to local market and centre of town cost 100baht per person .

Large hotel complex
It was fine but more like a mass complex as opposed to the boutique beach places. The beach and ocean are good especially with the unique, large tree that are growing right out of the far edge of the beach. When we were there jelly fis were in the water so not a good idea to swim. It is somewhat isolated but breakfast and staff were excellent.

We absolutely loved this resort for our honeymoon. The staff were so great. We especially loved the restaurant manager. He was the best! The massages on the beach were incredible. The resort itself is so beautiful and quite. Perfect for couples.

Great location for a perfect chill holiday. Staff at the hotel are very generous & helpful; a special mention to the restaurant staff & the excellent dining options at the Similan restaurant. The hotel itself is a little dated however it was meticulously kept.

Nice place but far from Phuket shops and airport
The room, pool, beach and restaurant are nice. Suggest brining baby food if you have small children. Mosquitoes were common so bring repellent. The hotel is about 2 hours from the airport and main Phuket shop areas so difficult to visit much outside the resort if you have small kids like us.

Beautiful hotel in perfect location.... Just relax
We recently stayed here for 5 nights and immediately fell in love with the place... We opted for the villa which was very clean and comfortable. Right on white sandy beach so was perfect for relaxing. Staff couldn't be any more accommodating and helpful. Went on a couple of trips through the hotel that were well managed and a great experience. Choice and quality of food was great. All in all just perfect.

The Resort was good overall,Beach Villas are the best value, the Hotel rooms are too far away from the beach,pool and Resturants.The reception staff are very poor in English and not helpful, the rest of the Staff were excellent.If you want a quiet beach location this is the one for you.The Town Centre of Khoa Lak is about 15mins away,they have a regular shuttle running,but you have to pay.

Great spot away from the hustle & bustle
Kantary Beach Hotel, is a lovely relaxing and quiet place to spend some time. We stayed in one of the many private Villas. The accommodation is great. An extremely comfortable king size bed, nice size en-suite bathroom, with 'outdoor' shower (it has walls, no roof) [Indoor shower also, but we never used it], and it has a nice living area with TV, bar fridge and sink. Accommodation was clean and felt quite new. Oh, and 2 A/C units for when you need them. We found that 1 was more than enough. There are limited eating options unless you go 'outside' the resort, but we did not find that to be necessary. They have a high class restaurant, and a general meals restaurant. We didn't bother with the fancy one, The Thai food on offer at the standard option was delicious. They do western food too, but if you're in Thailand, eat local. Clearly their marketing is very good in Western and Eastern Europe, as almost all guests seemed to be European. That worked out great for us, as it meant we had shade wherever we went. The Europeans come over to bake in the sun. I'm from Australia and avoid too much exposure if possible; So, that perfect spot under the tree on the beach was all ours! I'd class the resort as a good honest place to stay. All the amenities you need, without the pomp and ceremony that some others may have.

Amazing hospitality & genuine Thai experience
We stayed for 9 nights in villa unit in August 2015 with our 7 year old child. We loved every minute ! - What sets Kantary beach apart from every other hotel in Thailand is the hotel's staff. They are all genuinely friendly and helpful. We were warmly greeted by the guest relations manager, general manager, duty manager and food & beverage manager, chefs, cocktail bar attendant, beach boys, and all waiters every time we saw them. They made special Birthday cake for our daughter as a surprise and a special table setting and wedding anniversary cake for my wife and I, and many other little gratuities. The room had an indoor and outdoor shower, bath, microwave, plates, cutlery, wine glasses and 6 drinking glasses, medium fridge, king bed, plently of drawers and balcony. We have travelled to Europe and Asia for 21 years and no other hotel comes close. This was our third stay here and still are amazed at the variety of breakfast buffets, seaside pools, staff politeness, and the tasteful gardens with an amazing beach front which is natural and unspoilt (unlike Phuket, and Kaolak main centre). We ate at the resort restaurant 8 times and no trouble with food. It was reasonably priced and enough Thai and Western menu options. For our child they reduce the spice. There is also a free shuttle bus to main town and planned activities most days of the week.

Excellent holiday Hotel with incredible Beach.
My friend & I have been very impressed with the Hotel Kantary, despite it being a bit far from the Centre of KhaoLak, it has excellent Accomodation facility, good quality Beds and very efficient A/Cond. The Breakfast was also of high Quality with with excellent Choice & nothing was too much trouble for the employees. The Beach was easily accessible with plenty of Sunbeds and incredible for a long walk with safe swimming. I also like to commend the Hotel Guest Managers Pascal & Darren, who were always visible and leading by example..... My friend and I most definitely will come back for a relaxing time for our holiday of quality.

Money, money, money! You have to pay for wi fi in your room, pay for local calls, and pay for hotel shuttle into town. The hotel charges more for tours and attractions than anyone in town. Food is lousy. Drinks are lousy. I had to pay the hotel shuttle to go to town to book dives. The hotel was charging double to arrange the dive excursions. The hotel would not call another taxi service for me. They only use their expensive shuttles. You are isolated from the main roads so you are stuck and have no option but use the hotel shuttles. The mini mart is over priced if you need anything. The restaurants were disappointing but your only option is to get a shuttle into town. I liked the beach but would not stay at this hotel again.

Not 4 star service but OK. Rough around the edges. 1. Room for improvement with Restaurant, very inconsistent, 2. transport - very poor system, 3. service at the pool or lounge slow to non-existent. 4. poor communication - one sign says happy hour at 7:00 another says it is at 6:00, you show up at 7:00 and they have no idea what your talking about. Nice facility though, decent value for the cost. Just don't have high expectations

We didn't want to go anywhere else as we travelled for over 2 weeks and that was the perfect place to just relax. Long stretch of beach right in front of the hotel. Very nice food in the restaurant. 3 swimming pools and one with bar. Thai massage next to beach. Great service and polite staff. We didn't need anything else :)

You will either love it or hate it. The building layout reminded me of an old persons village or holiday camp set up. Have stayed in other hotels in this group and they are all very similar (beach and city) and personally thought that it lacked a resort atmosphere. Be careful as this hotel is 7km away from the main night life / restaurant road in Khoa Lak.

Front desk staff slow to respond to requests...we were put in a room that had Many broken and non-working items...condition of That room was very unsatisfactory...they moved us to another room ..better...housekeeping staff were not very efficient cleaners...many items and areas in the room were left untouched and dirty..everyday they came in, they would throw items away that had not been placed anywhere near a garbage....the housekeeping staff were a bit rude on occasion...great beach and an excellent restaurant just up the beach to the right...

A great located resort, near a beautiful long sandy beach. Thats really good. The breakfast is really good aswell. However most of the staff seems like the dont want to be there, some exceptions and these do really good.. Most speak poor english, so if you having problems with something it can be a long process. However overall this resort is value for money, especially when you got out and eat at the nearby beach restaurants, which offer amazing food for 1/3 of the resort prices.

This hotel is a decent choice for people who are used to holidays on large resorts on Mallorca or Gran Canaria. It has all the amenities, a minimart, atm and even a nurse at the properties. Close to the best beach in Khao Lak, can't complain about this beach. However, this resort is huge and has absolutely no feeling of Thailand to it. No charm at all. But if you are looking for a comfortable hotel close to a beach and don't really care whether you are in Spain or Thailand, this is a good choice for you. Wifi was fast and reliable but you had to pay extra to get it in the villa, 600 THB for six days. The staff were not that great, apart from the guy from Eco Tours who worked at the tour desk, he spoke good English and was very serviceminded. The villa I stayed in was not spotless clean exactly, lots of hair in the bath tub. I would only rate this hotel a 3* and I find it is not good value for money really but if you book as a part of a charter package maybe you get it cheaper.

Muito bom. Incrível !!!
Hotel incrível, numa localização incrível, na melhor praia da zona de Khaolak (White Sand Beach). Pessoal extremamente amistoso, instalações muito boas, quartos amplos, pequeno almoço muito bom, tudo com muita higiene e qualidade. O toque especial fica a cargo de Mr. Mêt e sua equipa. Um lugar para se sentir no paraíso.

Leider hat uns das Hotel nicht zugesagt. Personal nicht wirklich freundlich. Alle sind entweder gestresst oder wirken genervt. Beim Frühstück gibt es leider nur aufgebrühten Kaffee. Keinen Cappuccino oder ähnliches, wie wir es aus anderen Hotels dieser Preisklasse kennen! Sauberkeit im Zimmer- Naja! Der Couch-Tisch wurde nie sauber gemacht. Hygieneartikel auch nur sporadisch aufgefüllt. Beim verrücken der Couch kam ordentlich viel Schmutz und Dreck hervor. Irgendwie hat das Hotel keinen Charakter.

To relax perfect location if you rent a car
Second time there. Hotel very remote, you need transportation to go anywhere. Beach splendid, nearly empty as usual in Kao Lak and bungalows very confortable. Food and drinks absolutely correct. Is frequented mainly by old people (like myself!)
