The room was clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable but we were unable to turn off the light on the balcony. The choices for breakfast were not what we’re used to. Neither one of us cared to have biscuits and gravy so we settled for the breakfast sandwich which was okay. The dining area is quite small, the chairs are heavy and metal so there’s a lot of noise from them being dragged across the tile floor.

We have stayed here twice in 2024. Only negative remark - poor quality for breakfast. Nasty Instant Coffee! Need more healthy choices like whole wheat bread/bagels. The hard boil eggs (both trips) has a "strange texture and taste". Not sure if they are even real!

Decent hotel, def like the perk of free limo service, though we didn’t end up using it. Nice having the fridge and microwave. Room was clean. Only a few short minutes from all the shopping and dining. Only a few minor gripes, the water temps in the shower fluctuated wildly for some reason, the sink stopper was broken so the sink would get backed up, and the mattress was bigger than the platform it was on so the sides of the bed sagged down. Not enough to make a big thing about, but I think ratings-wise it’s more on the average side.

The bathrooms are extremely old. The bathtub is stained and faucets are old and leaky; the sink and bathtub have drainage issues and the water doesn't drain properly. The shower curtain is ripped and stained . I am disappointed to see these large hotel corporations taking over smaller or older hotels and just increase the price for stay. Is just about profit. Little or no improvements for the benefit of the customers. The lobby of course looks acceptable and that's about it. Hallway carpets are extremely old and show discoloration and damage being probably the original ones.

The breakfasts are phenomenal, served honeycrisp apples when we stayed and had very nice food besides, the pool and lobby area are charming and well kept. Receptionist and other staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean, and relaxing. Only complaint was the bed could be a bit softer! Would definitely recommend the Apple Tree Inn for stays in Petoskey.

This was a last minute plan to stay overnight, so I figured the front desk would match the Expedia rate. She was unable to do that, so I literally stood in front of her and booked the hotel room via Expedia. I went to my room through the outdate dingy hotel to find a room that was just as outdated so much so that it appeared dirty. The shower faucet was corroded. I could hear the gentlemen snoring in the next room. The patio door was unlocked when I arrived. I almost was too creeped out to shower but I did after a long day. I was more than glad to get out of that hotel as soon as possible. Next time I'll pay the extra bucks for the Hampton across the street. Gross!

Nice hotel and good location. Rooms and furniture are a little run down but nothing too bad. Staff excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. The limo ride is very cool too!
