Late contact about check-in information, snarky responses to my messages when I was sent messages with no link and then partial links, no answer to questions on a fan that eould not shut off, and bogus charges for late checkout and not cleaning despite leaving more then 2 hours before checkout and following all check-out procedures. I tried calling both the cell and office numbers to no avail, with the only "voice" on the line an AI assistor. No responses to e-mails either.

The 1 Hotel is wonderful. Staff is friendly and the rooms and amenities therein are well thought out. The only knocks would be the noise if you have a room facing Bathurst (we did and were moved the next day), the inordinate amount of time it takes for their 1 Kitchen restaurant to prepare ANYTHING, and the loud music thumping in theoir fine dining restaurant Casa Madera (we left as it was too loud to speak). Otherwise, this a a wonderful spot, with GREAT staff

Great location with on-site parking. However, checking in was a nightmare. Communication is last minute despite reaching. I was driving to Toronto not knowing whether I have a parking spot annd checking process. Phone will be answered by AI and if you ask for representative you will be holding for 30+ min (like I did) eventually solved issue over email. Expedia does not allow them to put an email to communicate so then send it to you without dots. Tgey won't give you check in instructions until I paid deposit and all services, which agree, but you pay one just to learn that you need to pay deposit at the last minute. I was waiting outside the building for 30 min. All this could have done the day or hours before arrival. The building is very modern but elevators are few for the people leaving and we were waiting about 10 to 20 minutes to get in since some were not working. Bottom line great location with poor customer service especially communication. I hope you have a better experience.
